Bio: El Rojo Jazz
Ryan T. Carey is an eclectic guitarist and composer from Upstate New York who has studied many styles of the guitar. Ryan specializes in and continues to study the complex arts of Flamenco, Jazz and Classical guitar. Mr. Carey has studied the guitar for many years and has had private instruction from students of world renowned Flamenco Guitarist Diego Del Gastor and World renowned Classical Guitarist Andra Segovia.
Mr. Carey continues to create a synthesis of old and new musical forms. He draws power from Flamenco and the World Beat to deliver music that often reflects the Fierceness of a Matador while maintaining the soothing warmth of a tropical Island. My Band and I perform Classical, Jazz and Flamenco guitar every week all over Rochester NY. We specialize in creating an artistic and soothing atmosphere, in which you and your customers can relax their minds and drift away into a european experience in the likes of a romantic adventure to Spain, France, Greece or Italy. I have studied the complex arts of Classical, Jazz and Flamenco guitar in Jerez de la Frontera Spain. And have come back to my home town of Rochester NY to Share my talents and love of music with my fellow New Yorkers. Some of our Venues we have performed at and still currently perform at include: Pier 45, Tapas 177, Pamadoros, Brio, Bistro 135, the Brasseri (aka Max of Eastman) Thali of India, Tandoor of India, The Rochester Convention Center, Water Street music hall, TilT night Club, Corn Hill Festivals, Rochester Jazz Festival, Kill Bourn Hall, (Eastman School of Music), Memorial Art Gallery, Nazareth College, RIT, U of R, and many more... we also do many private parties and weddings every year. We have performed at such venues as Esperanza Mansion, Casa Larga wine vineyard, and many private parties for such people as Mr. Perez CEO of Kodak, Mayor Duffy, Maggie Brooks and private parties for Danny & Stency Wegmans.
