wonderful experience

Seminar I was pleased to hear Doug speak yesterday at our school opening at Webster County High School. To say the least, the program was fantastic. Doug's message abt his brother and his childhood experiences was funny, inspiring, touching, and thought-provoking. All these things bundled into one man. Tremendously motivational evening! WOW!

Awards Night From my first contact with Doug, you could feel his passion and knew every word he spoke was from the heart. Doug served as keynote speaker at our banquet of 400 fire & EMS personnel and delivered an awesome presentation. Everyone left the program with a tear in their eye and smile on their face! Not only did he clearly recognize the service of those in attendance, he was able to inspire them to continue to impact others positively - me, included!

About

I am a public speaker whose life was dramatically impacted by the life of my severely mentally handicapped brother and by my parents' commitment to caring for Chris every day of his life for 41 years. Upon Chris' passing in January of 2012, our family created a campaign called "Silent-Strength" which is intended to honor Chris' life by challenging people to attempt to do what Chris did - for one day.

The Silent-Strength Pledge states... "Today, my positive actions will speak louder than all of my words... Silent Strength." Chris lived this life for 14,917 straight days - no talking, just unconditional love towards everyone. Can you do it for one day? Take the Silent Strength Pledge - change a life.

As Chris' older brother, I simply share the powerful impact that this little guy had on so many lives and how much more positive all of our lives could be if we could somehow apply the "Silent-Strength" principles that Chris lived by to our own daily living... if only for a day.
