Walt Disney World, Sea World, Paramount Studios and Cruise Ships are a few of the larger entertainment companies that I have contracted with. Corporate experience includes the grand reopenings for Bass Pro shops and Total Wine and More. Frequent performer at the Palm Beach country club doing fundraising and weddings. I also have extensive festival (link hidden) vocal style has eared me standing ovations on the stages of Orlando Florida and reviews in The Orlando Sentinel that would be the envy of any entertainer.I sing and accompany himself without backing tracks. This is who you want to book!

David was great and provided the talent, expertise and professionalism that my event needed. I wanted my guests to fill as if they were at a great beach party with the music that would take them to another place. David and Richie provided that and more. If you are looking for an artist who plays the hits of a laid back time, especially Jimmy Buffett style, you must book David.

David Donahue is a real gem!

What can I say about David Donahue? So many wonderful things, that's for sure!! He, all by himself and his guitar, made it sound like a 3 piece orchestra, not to mention his melodic voice. Our guests loved, loved his song selection because you could dance and sing along as well! He also acted as MC, which was such a nice touch. It was very important to him that my husband and I were happy and pleased with his performance, and believe me, we were as well as our guests!! I know that my next event will have David Donahue playing his guitar and singing to my guests!!

Absolutely Perfect!!!

David was outstanding! Aside from being incredibly talented, he was a joy to have at our event. He was able to read the room, select music that was appropriate, and charm the crowd. We are a unique venue, and he offered suggestions to make the event memorable for everyone. He added the exact touch that we needed - easy to work with and creating the atmosphere we desired. He was on point with his pre-event contact as well. He will be our musician of choice for future events.

What to expect

Most of the time a guitar single is pleasant background music. Your guests will be able to eat, drink and chat but believe me they are listening! They will approach you after or during the event if they are enjoying the music.
Having a bad guitar player can ruin your event and be an embarrassment to you personally. Also keep in mind that people like LIVE music. A guitar player that uses backing tracks (singing and playing along to a tape) is usually covering up some weaknesses in some cases, but not all.
If you are looking for more of a listening/dance type sound I recommend you use my band “The David Donahue Band “ If you have a special song that is not on my play list I will be happy to learn it for you if you give me some advance notice.

DAVID DONAHUE - ACOUSTIC GUITAR SINGLE/VOCALIST
Thank you for your interest. I’m an experienced actor, singer, and guitar player with over 30 years of experience. While studying at Stella Adler Theater Conservatory in New York City in the late 70s and early 80s, I started playing a guitar single as a way to make money between acting gigs. The guitar solo soon became a major part of my performing experience.
I have performed at Walt Disney World as a lead actor, singer, and entertainer. In addition, I have performed at Sea World at the 6000-seat Bayside Stadium performing in front of thousands of people singing and accompanying myself on the guitar. My experience also includes Paramount Studios / Carowinds theme park in South Carolina as a main stage performer. In addition, I have played on several cruise ships in the Florida area as well as corporate events. My Guitar playing experience spans local pubs, restaurants, weddings, and charity events among others, and rounds out my experience in the entertainment industry.
From beach music to standards or music from the 40s to today's future classics, I play a variety of music that is sure to please everyone. My vocal style has earned me standing ovations on the stages of Orlando Florida and reviews from The Orlando Sentential and Gainesville Sun that would be the envy of any entertainer.
I’m not a karaoke singer and I don’t use backing tracks. I sing and accompany myself in the tradition of singer-songwriters. My finger-picking style gives a rich full sound that enables me to provide great cocktail, wedding music, or background music. I can also pick up the beat and “get the crowd going” depending on your needs.
