About

Criterion is the brand new project of ex-Witness7 members Jon Edwards, Clint Sawyer and Sean Rizzo. With this new project, they look to create progressive but accessible hard rock music, fueled by all of their influences. Criterion is an ambiguous yet epic and all-enveloping affair. Think rock and metal and blues and punk and everything in between. Finally, you have Dale Garris' brooding vocals, which can range anywhere from a deafening growl to soaring highs. Look for exciting and original music from this group of goofy but creative dudes!

We love to play for anyone and everyone, so we'll take any opportunity to do so. However please be aware that as much as we would like to, we cannot afford to play for free. Don't worry, we're not crazy expensive. Email us to discuss the details for your event! :)

What to Expect

Typical Gig Duration: 30 - 120 minutes

We try to keep different demographics in mind when we choose which cover songs to play and which venue to play, but you can generally expect music on the heavier side of rock, especially when it comes to our original songs. We have a full PA system and lighting system with a fog machine and lasers, so if your venue lacks those things, we can provide them. Our goal is to eventually get to the point where we have enough material to do up to a 2 hour set.

We're also really easy to work with; if you keep us hydrated with bottled water, and maybe even feed us, we'll be happy!

Additional Notes:
We have a full PA system, but would prefer to just use whatever is available at the venue. We also have a lighting system on two (extendable up to 10 ft) trusses that connect to an overhead truss. We can also provide a fog machine and laser lights.

Set/Song/Sequence List:
As of right now, we only have three originals written. We can also play a few cover songs, so we could easily play a 30 minute set. However we will eventually be able to play up to a 2 hour set.
