Harpist Caroline Cole is recently graduated from the Master's of Music program at The Juilliard School where she won the Wayne Barlow Prize for Harp. She performs regularly on Broadway and throughout New York City. With styles ranging from classical, pop, broadway, and jazz, Caroline tailors each performance to uniquely suit your event. She has been performing for weddings and events since she was twelve years old and continues to take great pride in creating beautiful music for the special moments of others.
About
Caroline has been a featured performer at prestigious harp events throughout Canada and the U.S., including the Eleventh World Harp Congress in Vancouver, B.C., the Saratoga Harp Colony in New York, the Young Artist’s Harp Seminar in Georgia, and the American Harp Society in Toronto.
She has received many awards including The Juilliard School Robert Wayne Barlow Prize in Harp, second prize at L’Orchestre Symphonique de Montral Standard Life Competition in 2010 and 2007 as well as the prize for best performance of a contemporary work at the 2010 competition. Ms. Cole is recipient of two Canada Council for the Arts grants and the Canada Council J.B.C. Watkins Award. She is also the only harpist to ever receive The Sylva Gelber Music Foundation Award.
Caroline received a Master’s of Music degree in 2011 from The Juilliard School under the tutelage of Nancy Allen and a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Toronto in 2009 where she studied with Judy Loman.
Caroline's skills take her outside of the classical music genre to jazz, pop, film recording, and broadway. With 15 years experience and a vast range of repertoire, Caroline's performance on this sophistocated instrument provides the perfect ambiance for any event.
