Blown Away!

Carla's powerful and concise vocals blew the crowd away at our event! Even though most of our crowd does not understand italian, the message of the song showed through her powerful facial expressions. The crowd and I were amazed by her control and range. She was downright anazing!

Studio Session Carla Penner's strong, multi range soprano voice was just what I needed to grace my original songs at this year's recording session. Singing in both opera and Broadway styles, Carla worked effectively to convey the emotion I desired in each song. Carla was courteous and reliable, and I look forward to hearing her sing my songs this spring in San Jose.

About

After being honored to perform in various genres around the globe, Carla Penner Atallah, soprano, eventually realized that nothing compared with opera. She recently performed the role of Beth March in Little Women (Adamo) in San Francisco. She was invited to perform in Heliopolis, Egypt at Heliopolis Presbyterian and St. Michael’s Community Church (2010). Carla will be performing in September 2012 in Opera Plaza, in San Francisco (601 Van Ness Ave). While living in Toronto, Carla sang in the world premiere of Oratorio Terezin (Fazal) at the Toronto Centre for the Arts. She soloed frequently at Little Trinity Anglican church, and many other churches in the area, including St. Martin in the Fields.

Other complete roles Carla has performed include Asphodle from L'toile (Chabrier), and Nicole from Uncharted Waters (Granger). Partial roles include Fiordiligi from Cosi Fan Tutte (Mozart); Countess from Le Nozze di Figaro (Mozart); Alice from Falstaff (Verdi);Javotte from Manon (Massenet); Butterfly from Madama Butterfly (Puccini), and The Marschallin from Der Rosenkavalier (R. Strauss).

Carla holds a Masters Degree in Voice Performance from Indiana University.

She is always pleased to perform in concerts, recitals, special occasions, or recording projects.

What to Expect

Typical Gig Duration: 3 - 60 minutes

Carla can perform individual solos, or sets of songs as needed. Her set list contains a variety of operatic arias, oratorio and sacred selections; many which would fit into a party, event, wedding, or any other type of service.

Pianist (will perform unaccompanied)

For an acoustic setting, a microphone is not required.
