Darci had a love for drawing since kindergarten and practiced realistic & cartoon drawings for years as a young person. Darci found out from a project making Christmas cards in HS, that when she drew fast, She actually drew better! Her parents encourage her abilities and got her “how to draw” books to practice with. Darci later studied art at CSULB and honed Her skills. After graduating w a BA, Darci got her business license at 26 and started her "drawn live", watercolor portrait business at Ports O' Call Village San Pedro. Here She created mostly realistic pen drawings painted with watercolor. She also created caricatures & silhouettes for the patrons. Her business thrived 9 1/2 yrs.

Later She started her event entertainment business. With Her event caricatures & silhouettes company, clients book her for their events at a per hr rate for her event art services, i.e. 3, 4, 5, or more hour events.

Darci's silhouette art is also great entertainment! She hand cuts Her silhouettes on the spot w/out any pre-drawing, or lights & shadows. For the deluxe package, the guest's silhouette is placed in a beveled edge mat board black frame & a cellophane bag for them to take home. And for this package, an album is provided for the 2nd silhouette. The guest write a note to the host or bride and groom, in this album next to their silhouette cut-out.

A couple of phrases Darci hears a lot when she is cutting out silhouettes are "amazing!" & "I've never had this done before". Darci cuts quickly & her attention to detail is enjoyed by all.
