I perform professionally on Silks, Hoop, Hammock, and Stilt Dancing. I'm currently also training in Static Trapeze and Contortion. I began my circus training in 2010, and picked up the skill very quickly, transitioning into performance only a few months later. I perform all over LA, while ever expanding my skill set and training. A performer must constantly train and acquire new skills to stay on top of her game.
I draw a lot of my influence from ballerinas, yogis and contortionists. I think aerial performance is a beautiful platform to showcase the flexibility of the human body and the incredible aesthetic lines it can create, which make it visually interesting and stunning.
What to Expect
Typical Gig Duration: 3 - 120 minutes
My aerial acts are a combination of aerial dance and flexibility. I can improvise to whatever music is playing at the venue, or pre-choreograph a performance piece with my own music or music chosen by the client. I can also pour drinks from an apparatus for aerial bartending. I own 1 plumb-colored, 18-foot aerial silk, with hardware, which I can hang from any sturdy access point. I am also willing to perform on a provided apparatus. Other provisions, such as purchasing or renting a custom apparatus as per client's specs, may be negotiated. Message me with any questions!
Access point supporting at least 1000 lbs
Ceiling height of at least 15 feet
An access-point should be able to withstand at least 800-1000 lbs of force for aerial silks. There should also be a ladder or lift to hang the apparatus with. I do not own an aerial hoop, but I can rent one. Client may be asked to compensate some or all of the rental cost. Client is also welcome to provide an apparatus at own behest. If there is no access point in the ceiling, the apparatus may be hung from a free-standing rig provided either by the client or myself for an additional fee. Aerial bartending involves a little more skill and coordination, and must allot for either the presence of a bar-back who can pass bottles to me, the performer, or a bartending rig, which hangs around either an aerial hoop or static trapeze. I do not own an aerial bartending rig. Bartending sets usually consist of 5-10 minute sets at resting intervals. Choreographed performance pieces may have a duration from 3-5 minutes, and improvised atmospheric sets from 5-20 minutes with resting intervals. Stilt walking/dancing requires fewer special clearances, aside from higher-than-usual ceilings (10 or more feet).
