I am a classical singer and just graduated with my masters from the Cleveland Institute of Music. I have sung with many churches around the area and now sing at Mary Queen of Peace in Cleveland. I can sing classical, opera, musical theater, pop and almost anything else you may need. I sang with the Ohio Light Opera this past summer and have done many roles at the Cleveland Institute of Music. I have also studied opera in Italy through a program called Italian Operatic Experience. I can send sample audio files via e-mail or I would be more than happy to do a live audition.

About
Ashley Rae Close (soprano) just graduated from the masters program at the Cleveland Institute of Music (CIM) as a student of Dr. Jung Eun Oh. Over the summer, Miss Close sang with the Ohio Light Opera in 51 performances of 6 different shows. At CIM, she sang the role of the Plaintiff in Gilbert and Sullivan's Trial by Jury and was the cover for Atalanta in Handel's Xerxes. She also performed in scenes from La Traviata, Patience and La vie parisienne at CIM. In the summer of 2010, Miss Close sang the role of Suor Dolcina in Suor Angelica with the Italian Operatic Experience in Montecatini-Terme, Italy. She has a Bachelor of Music degree from the Crane School of Music SUNY Potsdam. At Crane, she played the lead role of Kate in the world premiere of scenes from The Highwayman and was seen as Little Becky Two-Shoes in the musical Urinetown. She also worked with Stephanie Blythe in the world premiere of the opera The Sailor Boy and the Falcon where Miss Close played the cover for the Falcon. Miss Close has done master classes with famous artists such as Stephanie Blythe, Melody Racine and Warren Jones. She has done extensive work with the Italian Art Song repertoire and won the Italian Art Song award last year at CIM. She has sung with many churches throughout the area and now is a cantor and member of the choir at Mary Queen of Peace, a Catholic Church in Cleveland. Miss Close has also taken German, Italian and French language courses and can sing in any of these languages.
