Most face painters do not have insurance (bodily harm, properly, or if *my* kit gets destroyed, as some examples) - I do! This just adds an extra layer of ease-of-mind for you... birthday parties and corporate events are hard enough, I want to take your mind off at least my part of your event.
If I am already booked, no problem. Our area (especially York) has quite a few talented artists, and I can guide you in the right direction, depending upon what is most important to you (value, price, artistic ability, personality, professionalism). You definitely will want to book me first (I am truly THAT good!), but you really do have other wonderful options if I am not available, and I will be delighted to help you.
If you would like to see photos of my work, please see the Photo Gallery at artifaces.com - that is all my work! The birthday party photos are the '5-minutes' photos and the work that I do at large events (attendance 50-10,000) is the '2-3 minute' photos (the SupaQuik ones that match super national-competition-level speed with huge "wow" impact!).

What to Expect
Typical Gig Duration: 90 - 90 minutes
I arrive 15 or so minutes early, to set up (it takes only about 5 minutes, some of the kiddos love to watch and ask me questions and start looking at my display board). Unlike beginning artists, I bring *everything* I need - I make everything easy on you so that you do not have to spent any of your precious party minutes on me! I bring a cool director's chair (the kiddos LOVE to sit up waaay high in this "throne") and I bring a rolling cart that I turn into a table (I work out of the kit and the table top) - it looks really colorful and fun and children ask lots of questions about my kit; I am happy to answer, it is loads of fun! I am always dressed in casual, neat clothing - this makes the kids feel comfortable - I look like their mom! At most parties, I ask the birthday child if they want to go first... if they seem shy I will guide them into deciding whether they want to go first or if they want to pick a friend or sibling to go first. This makes them feel special! Also, the birthday child is the only child who gets more than one painting, if they choose (ie: birthday balloons on their arms, etc.). Be ready that some of the children will spent time watching me paint - don't plan anything too structured for the first 15-20 minutes after I start painting :) At the end of my painting, I will find you to ask if everything exceeded your expectations, if there is anything else I can do for you, and to say goodbye.
I bring *everything* needed, including Director's Chairs for kids, small rolling table, all of my equipment!
Hopefully this is helpful to you: most of my parties (probably 90-95%) are 1.5 hours. This is $138, and it will cover up to about 18 children. If you have *slightly* more than 18 kids in attendance, please don't fret, it will work itself out. I never mind going over by a child or so (no nit-picky here!) and also keep in mind that maybe 10% of your children will decline the face painting (sensory issues, or too young, etc.). One additional note: if you outside of the York area, there is a $20 travel fee (travel is free in the York surroundings). Please don't worry about this fee - I don't mind traveling and I do it virtually every week (there are few great options for face painting in Harrisburg, Hershey, and Lancaster areas) - I am so worth the extra $20!
