Overall I have been performing for 13 years.

If you chose me for your event, I can find music in the correct key for my voice. I love to sing and I do so well (so I have been told) and expressively!

I have performed at multiple weddings, singing both classical and contemporary christian music as designated by the couple.

Most of my opera solo experience to date has been performing at Oakland University as a vocal student. There, I was trained in solid classical technique, sight-reading, and diction in French, German, Italian, and Latin. I sing both art songs and arias, although I enjoy art songs more. Currently, I have performed at the end of student recitals (I also teach voice lessons) semiannually. I have also sung arias as part of a performance art piece at the crofoot in Pontiac.

At Oakland, I performed for 4 years with the Oakland University Chorus and 1 year with the Oakland University Chorale, one of the leading chorale groups in the midwest. I have choral conducting experience. I can read all parts. I was also in chorus all throughout high school and junior high.

I have performed as a Jazz soloist with a small jazz band for the cocktail hour of wedding receptions. I have experience with standards and can improv.

I have performed Musical Theatre with my vocal instructors in the past and currently teach musical theatre to my students. I am familiar with most musicals, from the early 1900's to the present. I have some experience as an actress in musical theatre, but not as much as I would like.

I sung with the praise and worship team at Woodside Bible Church from 1998-2007.

I am responsible, professional, and a perfectionist so I will ensue that my portion of the event will go smoothly. I love to sing and to interpret songs. I believe I am very good at channeling emotion through my singing. I can keep the attention of any size crowd.

I can accompany on the piano, but I need sheet music.

What to Expect

Typical Gig Duration: 30 - 150 minutes

Classical- art songs or arias can expect to be performed. I am a lyric mezzo-soprano. I will sing in English, Latin, Italian, German or French. I may also sing in another language if I can transcribe that language into International Phonetic Alphabet. I have a loud and strong voice and can sing over an orchestra without a microphone. I strive to sing as close to the composer's interpretation of the piece as I can. My expressiveness will be related to the song that is being performed. Art songs are not meant to be as 'acted' as opera is expected to be.

Choral or group singing- I can blend, sing in tune, read the music, and watch the conductor.


Jazz, Contemporary Christian, pop, and r&b- I sing this music with a pop vocal style. I can bring my own mic, speakers, and monitor as needed. I can improv melody
