Why hire Adam the Piano Man?
Ever since Adam Mitchell started playing sing-a-longs with an innocent version of Elton John's "Your Song," he has developed into a master piano bar style entertainer--so much so that after taking a cruise and playing in the ship's piano bar as a guest--the cruise line took interest in him coming to work in one of their piano bars.
Adam's show is as diverse as the event itself and the people attending it. Patrons can choose from a song list to have their request played, or if there are no requests then Adam will keep the music going and keep things interesting. Don't be surprised if you hear hit songs made popular by Garth Brooks, Journey, Billy Joel, Def Leppard, and Pink all within any given ten minutes!
About
I have been a performer pretty much all of my life. I began my musical journey at the ripe old age of 4. Giving my first live performance at age 5, I'm no stranger to the spotlight either.
After many years of traditional training, I took off my classical pianist hat for the final time. I decided (after being introduced to a whole new style of piano entertainment) that it was time to broaden my horizons and take on a new skill set: the realm of sing-a-long piano.
What started off as an experiment with a new style of music ended up changing my musical life. After many years of preparation and practice, I have become a force to be reckoned with behind 88 keys.
If you're looking for a musician who loves to entertain your guests no matter what their musical preference, you need not look further. Let me take it from here and I'll make sure your event is everything you want and then some. The only thing I love more than having fun is helping other people have fun through something I love to do.
What to Expect
Typical Gig Duration: 60 - 300 minutes
An evening at the piano bar with me at the helm is whatever you want it to be. I pull from all genres of music, and the show is almost completely request driven. Depending on the clientele present, it could be a high energy rock show, it could be a laid back country saloon type sing-a-long, or even a sophisticated relaxation zone where you can fade away and forget the week.
Stage/Setup Requirements:
One three-prong electrical outlet within 20 feet of musician setup (or extension cords)
Additional Notes:
I have a full size Yamaha CP300 stage piano and a Fender 300W PA system with mics. My piano is top of the line with the best sound quality you can get out of a keyboard, and my PA system is large enough to handle any medium sized inside space as well as most outside spaces. My prices are negotiable depending on how much equipment I have to bring and set up.
