But don’t worry: we’re still the same GigSalad you know and trust. We’ve got the same features, the same team, and the same commitment to helping you book amazing events or land great gigs. There’s just a fresh coat of digital paint and a few extra style points.
Why change anything at all?
To put it simply: We’ve grown. We’re not the same scrappy startup we were when GigSalad first hit the scene. Over the years, we’ve evolved into a polished, powerful platform that helps thousands of event planners and entertainers connect every single day. It was time for our brand to grow and change accordingly.
We’ve got wedding planners booking string quartets, corporations hiring motivational speakers, families bringing in balloon artists, and block parties finding bartenders. Our rebrand reflects this versatility, and it’s designed to give users even more confidence using GigSalad.
Our new, energetic design reflects who we are: event-makers who celebrate people, seeing them through the most important moments of their lives. Our refreshed website showcases our commitment to creating unforgettable moments, both big and small, through a vibrant and joyful design.
Let’s talk about the changes
Our new look is intuitive, friendly, and wonderfully purple, with a personable logo, playful design language, and relatable voice. You may have seen some of these elements sprinkled into emails and social media posts over the last year, but now the complete rebrand has been launched.
Behind the scenes, we have also improved our code and framework. Much has changed, but you can still browse, connect, and book talent just as easily as before. The updated site is smoother, clearer, and more delightful, from the first click to the final booking.
A new “GigSalad” — say hi to Herb!
Since our launch in 2007, GigSalad has had a handful of logos, but none have ever felt more like us than this new one. The custom logo type is both professional and playful, which captures the essence of our company, brand, and voice.
For the first time in GigSalad history, we now have a logo mark that we’ve lovingly named Herb! As the personality of GigSalad, Herb’s bold shapes are filled with an interplay of round and sharp corners washed with our signature Party Purple, giving the impression of a salad bowl and a smile.
No matter the event, Herb is here for it. Always looking for ways to create the best moments with you. We hope you get along!

Colors and fonts that bring the brand to life
Our new brand starts with a bold and brilliant refresh of color. Purple is our primary color, in a variety of shades, with Party Purple leading the way. Our purple family is supported by a group of complementary colors that give us more personality and flexibility than ever before. Unlike our old blue-only palette, these new hues let us craft vibrant combinations that feel fresh, modern, and full of life.
To match that energy, we’ve introduced two new fonts — one with strong character for headlines and one that’s clean and easy to read for everything else. Together, they strike the perfect balance between playful and professional, making our content both approachable and polished.

Visuals that bring it all together
We’ve expanded our design system with new creative elements that make every page more engaging. From crisp photography to bold contrast framing, our visual style feels lively and elevated. We’ve also added custom graphics featuring whimsical garnish shapes, along with a collection of patterns we can use to build more dynamic backgrounds and layouts.
These elements give us the flexibility to create designs that are just as unique as the events we help bring to life.

Why did GigSalad change its look?
We’ve got a brand-new look, but the same heart. Our updated design reflects where we’re headed while honoring everything you already love. It’s still the GigSalad you know, just dressed to impress.
Are you under new ownership?
Nope! We’re still proudly independent and run by the same team that’s been with you all along.
Is this just a visual update, or will functionality change, too?
This is a visual makeover only. Every button, feature, and form still works the way you’re used to.
The site feels unfamiliar. Can I go back to the old version?
There’s no way to revert to our old site, but please be assured that all functionality remains intact. We’re confident that as you spend more time with the site, you’ll come to love it as much as we do.
Are there more changes coming?
We’re always looking for ways to improve! While this rebrand is a significant milestone, we’ll continue to fine-tune the experience with thoughtful updates, helpful features, and maybe a few more design surprises down the road.
🤖 Functionality-related questions
I can’t log in. Did my account get reset as part of the redesign?
Your account is safe and sound — same login, same info, same you. However, if you use a password manager, you will have to re-save your password. If you’re having trouble, let us know and we’ll help you get back in.
Was my account or profile affected by the rebrand?
Although it may look different, the functionality remains the same. Your profile, messages, and bookings are all exactly where you left them. We hope you enjoy using a better-looking dashboard!
Did anything change about how the site works?
Nope! All the features you know and love are still here. The site may look different, but everything is still designed to help you find local talent for your events and book gigs securely.
Did your membership pricing change with the rebrand?
Our pricing has remained unchanged for nearly seven years, and the rebranding has not affected it. We’re always focused on improving the core marketplace experience, and if or when pricing changes in the future, we’ll provide thorough guidance and plenty of notice.
