Capturing images for a wedding day is a unique blend of skill, artistry & experience. I genually enjoy weddings and believe it is the responsibility of the photographers to tell the story of your event with images. The style I bring to capturing images is sitting back, capturing moments that happen, directing or helping to get to better situations and the experience to know thell or write to discuss how I can capture your story.

Agreement
Now that we have agreed to work work together I will gather all the necessary information to put an agreement together. The agreement has your names, the wedding date, locations, all the elements of your package, terms, contact information and a place to sign. I will type in all the information I have, print two copies, sign both copies and mail them to you. Please fill in any missing information, sign and return to me in the self addressed, stamped envelope and mail back one copy. You keep the other copy. Please include the reservation deposit in the envelope for me to hold your date.
Engagement Session
We can schedule an engagement session when ever our schedules allow. A typical session is one to two hours and can be anywhere in the tri-county area. You will receive all the useable images within two weeks and you have full reproduction rights.
Pre-wedding conversation
I will schedule a conversation about one month before the date. Typically a phone call works, or I’m glad to meet if you prefer. This is about a one hour conversation going over all the details for the day. If you have any inspiring images (Pinterest works great for this) , we can review them. From this conversation I create my worksheet that has, names, all addresses, a schedule, Formals shot list and lists of any other important photos
I’m Mark Kelly. A lifetime of experience has shaped my approach to photography.
I was born and raised in the Detroit area. I’m old enough to know how to load and process sheet film, but I’m still young enough to keep up with high school athletes as a lacrosse referee.
I’ve been taking photos my entire life. Early in my career, I traveled the country and a bit of Europe as an assistant to one of the world’s best photographers, shooting automotive ads and catalogs.
I’ve slept at 16,500 feet, a day’s walk from Everest base camp. I’ve spent three days with the Tipiuni tribe in Amazonia. I also was a managing partner for a commercial automotive photograph studio.
I’m the proud father of a teenager and a husband of 21 years.
I’m the world’s least finicky eater. I should have a badge for that
I love new technology and the digital world, but I also have three film cameras I still use.
One thing you should know about photography . . . experience counts. So does keeping a fresh eye, an open mind and a sense of adventure.
Even though I’ve photographed hundreds of weddings, I still cry at some first dances.
Who knows … maybe I’ll tear up at your wedding, but I vow to take photos that you will cherish for a lifetime.
Let’s talk.
