I am a Berklee College of Music alumnus with more than five years of gigging experience ranging from being the lead guitarist and singer in an original rock/funk band and lead guitarist in church band, to solo acoustic restaurant gigs. I can cover a wide variety of music including rock, blues, funk, jazz, country, and even contemporary Christian with a repertoire of well over 100 songs. Currently I'm living in the Nashville area looking to play entertaining and comedic solo acoustic gigs wherever possible.

Music As I See It
“I was born with music inside me. Music was one of my parts…It was a force already within me when I arrived on the scene” –Ray Charles. Like the late, great Mr. Charles, I believe music has always been within me. I truly cannot remember a time when a song hasn’t been playing in my head. I will always reminisce of riding around the small southern town where I was raised and singing along to some of the greatest classic rock songs of all time with my dad. I loved the Eagles with the guitar harmonies of Don Felder and Joe Walsh, and being from the south it was impossible not to be influenced by the trio of guitarists Steve Gaines, Gary Rossington, and Allen Collins. It was this that ultimately led me to an interest in guitar that would later develop into an obsession with the instrument, tone, and music in general. As I grew, my influences began to branch from the classic rock guitar anthems to country artists such as Brad Paisley, Keith Urban, and Brent Mason; I even began listening to blues and found one of my greatest influences in Stevie Ray Vaughan. As I grew and tried to pick apart the style, tone, and licks of my favorite guitarists, I began listening to an even wider variety of music including jazz, fusion, and funk. My guitar skills grew immensely during high school, a time filled with playing in various church group bands. It was fun throwing in some Jimmy Page riffs during the few bars designated for a guitar solo in a contemporary Christian song just to see the crowd’s reaction. During my time as a “lead guitarist” for the youth group band I realized that while I loved being the guitarist in the band, I also really wanted to be the front man. This was something that I never thought I would have the courage for; then came college.
Shortly after I began studying biomedical engineering at Mercer University, I realized that I was lost. I felt there was a path for my life, and while the promise of a steady paycheck seemed like a great light at the end of the tunnel for my engineering degree, I felt like I had taken the safe route rather than the one less traveled. Then it happened…I started a band. Along with the help of a few fraternity brothers, the Dirty Sound Professors was born. Starting as a cover band that played house parties for local fraternities and sororities, the Dirty Sound Professors (DSP) was a funk, southern and classic rock jam band. After nearly a year together we began writing music, and at that point I had my moment of clarity. I saw the magic of truly making music and was absolutely fueled by the sound of a cheering crowd after playing a song I had written. I knew then, without a doubt, what I would strive to do for the rest of my life. I would be a guitarist, a singer, a songwriter, a performer…a musician.
I currently do not have a PA system, but can rent one for shows. For these shows, I require a $50 up-charge for the rental fee.
Please contact me for setlists as I have different ones varying on the type of show you would like.
Being from the south, I grew up listening to everything from the Charlie Daniels Band, the Eagles, and Lynyrd Skynyrd to Stevie Wonder, the Beatles, and even the Red Hot Chili Peppers. I am a huge fan of John Mayer which led me to becoming a fan of blues guitarists such as Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Buddy Guy, and the three Kings (Albert King, Freddie King, and BB King). Being a rock guitarist, I am, of course, influenced by Jimmy Page and all of Led Zeppelin's music along with other rock group who fuse rock and blues including the Allman Brothers Band, The Tedeschi Trucks Band, and Gov't Mule. I also love twangy players like Brad Paisley, Brent Mason, and Mark Knophler.
