JT Trawick (JAY-TEE TRAY-WHICK)
Engineer turned pot pro picks up guitar and re imagines his Americana dream.
His songs have been compared to the likes of Townes, Blaze & Prine, and, much like them, his music is rooted in the heart & soul of American folk. A fourth generation Ozark musician, JT cut his chops in a rich, self-taught family tradition of fiddling, guitar backup and harmony singing.
Offerings include:
JT & the Mudbugs - authentic Texan swing & original Ozark country, a true Americana dance band
Rowdy Mountain - down from the mountain traditional & original bluegrass
Solo/Duo/Trio customized ensembles available
My workplace booked JT Trawick for a Car Show held at our memory care community. We are so glad we did! JT was professional, flexible, and the music was awesome! Thanks for helping add enjoyment to the Car Show for our residents.
just what we needed for our event, JT is very personable and easy to work with
Jt and his band where amazing. They played the event and everyone enjoyed them. Jt was very easy to work with. He was very very professional. Astoria golf and country club will definitely use them again. Thank you for a great time

Wonderful time they were great.
We enjoyed them very much so much fun. :)
JT and his two band mates were absolutely excellent.
They were spot in their musical set selection and had the ability to be the focal point of entertainment and blend into the background to set the proper mood to our event
Good guys as well
Many compliments from my guest.
Highly recommended.
Response from JT Trawick:
Thanks, Greg! Kind words. Sure was a beautiful day to play and you made it easy with your clear instructions and song requests. I was personally moved by your family's stories and memories. Honored to have been a part of such a beautiful memorial.
JT Trawick and the Mudbugs were perfect for our fundraising event. I received several compliments regarding the band from people in attendance. They were professional, easy to work with, and the music was great.
I had a great experience hiring JT and his band for my wedding rehearsal cookout. JT was easy to communicate with and we were able to coordinate all of the details flawlessly beforehand. He was accommodating in the type of music that I was looking for and was able to work with me on the venue setup and the best arrangement for sound quality. For the actual performance they sounded amazing and all of the guests were really into them the whole time. They played a lot of great songs and everyone was really happy with it and there was some good dancing going on. It was a great way to kick off the weekend! I highly recommend hiring them for your event.

Generally catering to the crowd, JT covers a wide variety of music within the acoustic Americana spectrum.
A unique, rhythmic approach to the guitar makes the perfect backdrop for fiddle or voice with his originals and covers of familiar early country & jump blues. His own songs range from comical hilarity to poetic individuality while touching on matters of the heart.
Throw a couple original fiddle tunes into the mix and you’ve got a nice evening of rooted American lore, alive and in-person.

A 4th generation musician and songwriter originally from the heart of Arkansas where the Ozark mountains fade away into the Arkansas River valley, JT was influenced early on by his Grandpa’s fiddle music and the invigorating sounds of Bob Wills and his Texas Playboys. Today, JT performs a wide variety of music within the acoustic Americana spectrum including covers of Hank Williams, Willie Nelson and Glen Campbell. His own originals have been compared to the likes of John Prine or Guy Clark and he always has a hot breakdown fiddler in the band. Bring your boots and a partner to dance, or just come for some good songs and remember the good times.
We want to provide the best sound possible for your needs. Generally, we provide our own gear and personnel, but happy to work with your people as well. Our sound can be all acoustic, or properly miced for the best experience for your venue.
