Weekend Edition is a classic/southern rock and blues band from Arlington, Texas. This group of old souls and young hearts joined in 2014 and specialize in rock from the ‘60s to ‘80s but will play whatever gets the fans jacked up.
Music by the founders of Rock n’ Roll were anthems for all four men who grew into Stevie Ray Vaughan emulators and ZZ Top imitators. The quartet of 20-somethings have been playing long enough to know what good music sounds like and smart enough to keep it alive.
This mix of Cajun, Husker and Texans are freelovin‘ music nerds whose backgrounds vary from self-taught to collegiate study. Weekend Edition isn’t a typical cover band, but an experience.
This band was amazing. These young men sounded awesome. The volume was perfect. They were very respectful of our home and more importantly they worked the crowd like professionals. All of our guest asked about them. They made the party a huge success! Thank you Weekend Edition for an unforgettable night!
Response from Weekend Edition:
Thank you so much Kimberly!
We had a great time with you guys. We're happy that we could add to the celebration and keep the party rockin.
You guys are awesome. Thank you for having us out!

Expect to hear primarily classic rock, blues, southern rock, county hits with some r&b, soul, dance tunes thrown in. We want you to have a good time while we're having a good time, so we maintain an upbeat, and engaging atmosphere.
Weekend Edition is a cover band from the DFW, TX area specializing in rock 'n' roll from the '60s to '80s. We also include a few other genres like country, blues, and dance tunes into our shows. Unlike your typical cover band, Weekend Edition doesn't just play music, we give our audience a unique interactive experience. You and your friends will get lost in the musical talent, showmanship, and spectacle that is a Weekend Edition rock show. Call us today at (phone number hidden) to book us for your next event or party.
Weekend Edition was born from a night of patio drinking between the three founding members. We had experience from previous high school rock bands and figured we'd give it a go. At first we were known as The Flannel Bandits, thank God that didn't stick.
After nearly a year of all talk and no play, and finding our drummer through Craigslist, we finally started practicing. Our first live show was at a bar in Addison, TX in June 2015, and the rest is history.
Weekend Edition is influenced by the founders of Rock 'n’ Roll. Each of us grew into Stevie Ray Vaughan emulators and ZZ Top imitators. We're music nerds whose backgrounds vary from self-taught to collegiate study.
Our goal is to give you a good time through the music that shaped us. Join us for a musical journey that you'll never forget. Call (phone number hidden) to book now.
