Solo violinist to play classical music, fiddle music, popular tunes and requests. Avaliable for weddings, events, orchestra, parties and more.
Due to language barrier and a lack of a meeting of the minds, Renata arrived and expected payment. I explained beforehand that I would be away as the bride and she would need to work with the groom re: the 2:30pm start time and, I asked her in writing if a check would be acceptable to her as payment. She arrived a few minutes before 2:30pm and wandered around, asking the guests for direction compared to finding the groom as instructed. The contract was for Renata to start playing her violin at 2:30pm on July 29 with a song list provided on April 23. After 30 minutes, the groom found Renata by the dining area and she stated she would start playing only upon payment. The groom went to the ATM for cash and then, at 3:20pm, Renata began to play. I heard about 4-5 songs of the 20 requested songs. The good news is that Renata is a very talented musician. The bad news was that I was devastated that the 2:30pm start time was sabotaged in what I had hoped for in the introduction of my wedding. She is very talented again as a musician.
Renata was wonderful! She arrived in good time and she definitely delivered! Her violin playing added such a beautiful touch to our dinner party evening. She was easy to work with and a wonderful performer..
Response from Violinist for hire in the GTA:
