What to Expect
We are a military family and now that my husband has retired we are looking to grow our business. We have done kettle corn for more than 15 years and this year we expanded into catering and a food truck. We have done several events and catered a horse event, where we fed 70 people for $12 a plate, Tri Tip, organic corn, mashed potatoes with homemade BBQ sauce or homemade horseradish dressing, and homemade peach cobbler. The weather fought us every step of the way for this outdoor polocrosse tournament, but we weren't fazed, we ended up feeding everyone in less than 10 minutes, hot, good food, with a smile.
As our menu states, we can customize what you need for your event. We are a small family run concession/catering business with GREAT food. And I don't just say that because I make it. I am often disappointed in the taste and quality of food I buy at any event. We put great pride into our food and never serve a bad looking meal. Our food is fresh with the best ingredients we can find. For example, our homemade biscuits and sausage gravy. It is the tastiest you've had. Our kettle corn is non-gmo corn and our kettle gets extra HOT and that makes all the difference in the taste. We are CLEAN. I cannot tell you the number of times I pass up food just because a place or the people serving are not clean. We keep our trailer clean, we keep ourselves clean. We are polite and care about customer happiness.
As a kettle corn concession we have been doing Cheyenne Frontier Days for 13 years. Our customer base (mostly locals and rodeo people) buy up to six bags at a time and we provide the kettle corn for the breast cancer luncheon.
As a caterer, my food is handmade, I don't buy frozen prepackaged food and try to serve it as fresh (except the corn, it's frozen!). Our waffles are handmade daily and taste best with the strawberries and cream.
When you try my Tri-Tip Steak (Santa Maria style) torta sandwich with pico/avocado salsa and homemade cream horseradish dressing, you'll be hooked.
Additional Booking Notes
We can come to your kitchen and make food, or we can bring our high-end CLEAN food trailer to your event. We have a full kettle corn operation as well, we pop out of a canvas miner's tent and use a wood bar to serve from (complete with a foot rail!). We buy the best ingredients we can and take pride in GOOD food, not watered down "cost per serving" food - real food that I would (and do) serve my family!
If we bring our food trailer, we must have a 15-30 amp plug to plug into or we have a small generator charge.
Influences & Inspiration
My grandfather had a pizza parlor back when customer service really meant something. I started working with my mother as a busgirl at 12 years old and my grandmother bought a bed and breakfast in her late 60s and worked it until her early 80s. Food, customer service and pride in our work goes back a long way! My cousin John in California also caters. We love to see people happy over food.
