Born and raised in a shotgun house in New Orleans, I grew up on Royal and Desire streets upper 9th ward. We could walk to the French Quarter and shine shoes with my brother , my grandfather made us each a shine box and taught us to work at a very young age. It was great being in the French Quarter, where everything was happening. I would hear musicians playing jazz and blues , I knew at an early age, the guitar was going to be my instrument. By the time I moved to mid city, starting 9th grade I was learning from books how to play guitar. While I was paying on layaway for my first acoustic, I took a 1 x 2 piece of wood and drew frets on it, put wires thru eye hooks to make strings, just so I could practice the notes and chords.
These songs I wrote, I have been playing live for many years now and I also do a lot of cover songs, in my style. Tell me what you are looking for and maybe we can give you the music and performance you are looking for:
Thank you so much, Anthony
