Since I started playing professionally at 15, music has been part of my life. I enjoy entertaining people whether it be at a dance, restaurant, club or special occasion. Over the years the songs I play have defined my music. While some of the songs are newer, most are classic standards. Songs I relate to but songs other people like too. Songs you enjoy listening to, where the melody stays with you, where the words have feeling. Songs which may have a special meaning or bring back memories.
My playing and vocals are accompanied by “four guys in a box” (bass, drums, guitar, and sax custom tracks made to sound like my Sarasota group of 16 years.
Sorry, Octoberfests & Polkas are not my forte

No, I'm not now or have I ever been "famous" and never plan to be. I'm just blessed to have played with
many fine musicians and was successful in organizing some really good groups. I have played all types of band jobs from house parties to night clubs, large formal dances and four annual Europe jazz tours with clarinetist Peter Buhr. With the retirement of two key musicians in my group I decided to once again play as a single with tracks. I have performed in many country clubs, yacht clubs, private events and restaurants in New York, North Carolina and Florida.
Florida - Upon arriving in Sarasota I assembled a trio with drummer Richie Calitro and saxophonist Ray Vitale. I recorded two CD's with the trio featuring Ray Vitale, one early on and one twelve years later. While playing country clubs and yacht clubs from Tampa to Naples the opportunity was extended to play four annual jazz tours in Europe with Peter Buhr. One of the concerts was recorded and is available in Germany. Peters group also recorded a CD for each tour.
North Carolina -, I organized a group of fine musicians including trumpeter Chick Shelton, Drummer and vocalist Jerry Funnicello and saxaphonists Dave Bragg and Jim Calabrese. Jim was "first call" for bands traveling through the state. International recording artist trumpeter Tom Browne occasionally played with the group. I recorded two CDs with Jim Calabrese and one as a sideman with vocalist Tina Lovings.
New York - Starting out at fifteen I organized a band playing local school dances and social club parties. At sixteen we joined a USO troupe stationed at Fort Wadsworth which broadened our experience performing in Jersey and New York. We were fortunate to have talented musicians in the group such as Tony Sotos who went on to play and record with name bands. Later I joined the Don Roberts group playing in Manhattan, New Jersey and Staten Island. Here again wonderful musicians like saxophonist Frank Pisano and drummer Arnie Kinsella who went on to play seventeen years with Garrison Keller on Prarie Home Companion, and played did Broadway shows.
