I was born and bred in Scotland and while living there I have played for Her Majesty the Queen, United States Vice Presidents, Dukes, Earls, Clan Chiefs and for hundreds of weddings, funeral's and corporate events. I have been playing the bagpipes for 40 years. I grew up in Dunoon Argyll in Scotland and only moved to Canada a few years ago so I am 100% Scottish from the old country
I can't speak highly enough about Calum...the beautiful Scottish music he played in our garden and his kindness to our family during a difficult time made the celebration of life for my mother an extremely memorable event for all!!
Response from The Scottish Piper, Weddings, Funerals:
Thank you Anne for you kind words. I am so glad I made your celebration of life for your mother a bit more memorable with the sounds of the bagpipes.
Calum provided an amazing service where he surprised some family friends with a small outdoor concert. The purpose was to add a bit of joy into someone's day and he did that in spades! I asked for his help from Ontario and he provided it in Victoria: on-time and in great style! Highly recommend!
Callum was the perfect surprise for our friends Burns dinner. Great to deal with, on time and great fun and super pipes. Would use him again any time!
Calum certainly did a great job
Being piped down the aisle was very special to me!
The bagpipes always bring tears to the eyes!
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for giving us this special touch to our wedding!
The flower of Scotland is a beautiful song

Calum is incredibly talented and a lovely gentleman! He played for my mom and grandma as a special surprise for Mother’s Day and it was an amazing experience. Thank you, Calum for providing such a great serenade!
Calum was hired for my granny’s 88th birthday who is Scottish from Glasgow and currently suffering with dementia. She has trouble seeing and remembering things she said or who people are. We thought a little music therapy for her birthday would trigger some happy memories and it turned out more beautiful than we expected. It was a priceless experience! Calum’s performance and my granny’s reaction was so emotional! She was so elated to hear the pipes! We had planned to have a family gathering of 52 of us outside a restaurant in Burlington. Prior to meeting Calum in person, I came to find out he is from Glasgow, has a family member with dementia and owns a “black watch” tartan kilt! It was perfect! He showed up on time and even helped me notify the manager of the restaurant that we wanted to pipe my granny into the restaurant to her seat. Originally I was just going to request Calum Pipe outside the restaurant because I was worried people would be annoyed. Quite the contrary and actually Calum, replied in with his Scottish sense of humour replied “I’ll tell you one thing, usually once I start piping, no one stops me”. That immediately put me at ease and we proceeded with the plan. My granny entered the front of the restaurant with all her family waiting to greet her and as she entered the restaurant Calum followed suit and her clan was behind her. Everyone in the restaurant loved it and my granny felt so proud. He even took the time to talk to my granny afterwards and was patient with her. She asked for his business card because she knows a lot of people and would like to recommend him -lol. He then piped out of the restaurant to conclude the experience. Everyone loved it! I received such positive loving feedback from family and those at the restaurant. Thank you for a wonderful memory for all of us and for making my granny’s day! To see my granny in her glory and happy was a beautiful thing! I wish I could post photos and videos of her reaction and smile absolutely priceless!
Thank you for making the opening ceremonies of the Friars Brier that much more special for the curlers. Being piped onto the ice at the start of competition is an honoured tradition and often reserved for major competitions. Our group was very happy to have you at the Friar's Brier piping them on and giving the added touch to such a wonderful competition series.
Thanks again!
Response from The Scottish Piper, Weddings, Funerals:
Dear Pamela,
Thank you so much for your positive review. I am so glad that the curlers enjoyed my Bagpiping so much and it was lovely that you invited me sit down for lunch with you. I always enjoy talking to people at the many events I pipe at as you hear so many amazing stories. Thank you one again for choosing me to play at you event.
Regards
Calum
