What to Expect
A mixed drink of THE CLASSIC MOTOWN SOUND, PART 1970's, 1980's, FUNK and DISCO FLAVOR, a dash of the old-school and contemporary R & B, and a guaranteed good time!!" We turn up the party at any event where the dance floor demands to be hot with dancing, laughter, cheer and fun!! We love hearing, "Somebody Scream!!!". Meaning we love to see and hear the audience having a good time! Although we are hard hitting, we can also break it down to more laid back sounds for dinner music as well. When it's time to party, we know how to turn it up!!!! We are usually begged to stay and play longer!!! But of course all good things must come to an end. At the end, our name will be remembered as our theme song says, "You can't play the game, if you don't know our name!! SPLITZ!". We are the band to be remembered, never forgotten! We are business oriented and require signed contracts with a retaining deposit due in advance and the final balance due the date of the event. We provide our song list to clients for review prior to events to give them a choice of songs they'd like or prefer to hear. We provide our own DJ who keeps the dance floor hot during breaks or any other time a DJ may be requested to provide music at an event. We believe in looking professional and sounding professional on stage. At weddings we are in black and white formal attire unless the client(s) has a specific request. For clubs, festivals, etc., our attire is neatly coordinated to fit the type of event.
In the late '90's the well known Common People Band divided into two groups to fulfill more engagements and meet the incredible demand for more of their unforgettable performances. "The Splitz" popularity and enthusiasm for their electric stage show exceeded all expectations keeping them constantly singing, dancing, and moving down the road to your next social event. "The Splitz" cater their impressive repertoire of decades of songs to all occasions bringing the appropriate music, attire, mood, and non-stop fun to the stage. Let "The Splitz" and their reputation keep your guests dancing for weeks and make your band party an unbelievable success.
