Do you suffer from the heartbreak of BPS (Boring Party Syndrome)?
Want a super-fun dance band playing rock & soul dance hits from the 60s & 70s to add some whoopie to your next toga party, subdivision shindig, rockin' wedding, birthday bash, holiday wingding, bris, barn raising, or other event?
Look no further, Greater Atlanta.
The K-Tels is here.
Comprised of veteran touring and recording musicians who know approximately "a ka-zillion" songs, The K-Tels have pledged to dedicate every waking moment of their lives to this objective:
TO MAKE YOUR EVENT THE MOST SWINGIN' SOIREE EVER.
Good selection of the songs you grew up with if your a late Boomer!
Response from The K-Tels:
Thanks, P-Toes! We call it "oldies for the oldies by the oldies" -- but all ages who love great songs & fun are always welcome & sincerely appreciated!
K-Tels sounded absolutely great. They had a great presence on stage and were very easy to communicate with prior to the event. Everyone at the event loved them- I'm sure we will be using them in the near future again!
Response from The K-Tels:
Thanks a million for the good words, Emet, and for letting us be a part of your event. We had a blast gettin' down with your wonderful residents and staff!
Price Range: $100-600
As you may be aware, the prestigious Foundation Of Oldies Bands At Risk (FOOBAR) recently completed an exhaustive nationwide study. The organization's report included this troubling information.
According to Executive Director Alfred E. Neuman, "The Greater Metro Atlanta, Georgia region lacks a super-fun dance band playing rock & soul dance hits from the 60s & 70s. We also failed to identify any groups goofy enough to play old TV show themes and novelty songs...Further, our research discovered that many people are unaware that the U.S. Surgeon General has warned that dull parties may be hazardous to your reputation."
"For me, the FOOBAR report was a real wake-up call," says Fearless Leader Peter, spokesman for The K-Tels.
"I was shocked to learn there were parties and events where dancers were not afforded the opportunity to do the bump, the twist, the hustle, and - yes - even the funky chicken. How could such a tragic situation exist in 'Hotlanta, one of the cradles of old school rock & soul?
"Decisive action was required, so I promptly recruited some of the most experienced, versatile, funky rockin' rollin' players around."
The K-Tels are all veteran touring and recording musicians and published songwriters -- ace entertainers who know a zillion oldies and who love to play requests.
Having a holiday-themed event? We do rockin' Xmas carols or you-name-it tunes for other special occasions. We can even write song lyrics -- silly or serious -- to suit special events.
The group's name is a fond tribute to K-Tel Records, the legendary record company that once blanketed TV airwaves with captivating commercials.
That exuberance is also the spirit of The K-Tels band who make no secret of their intent.
"We're all about mixing it up with our audiences and having a great time. Dance contests, stump the band, jump in and sing with us, bad jokes? Yo, we got it covered."
