The Disreputable Gypsies does a mix of folk and bluegrass with a bit of a... disreputable twist. That's about all that can be said about our style, it's definately unique. We are based out of Texas, but we're willing to travel!

Our band is very involved with the crowd. You can expect lots of stories, along with lively banter between not only the band members themselves, but also between the band members and the audience. We hope to have the audience singing along by the end of our shows!
We have a three peice band consisting of Ben on the Ukelele (sounds weird, but works great for our style of music), our fair Irish lead singer and guitarist Lyndsey, and our bassist Justin. We have our own set of amps, microphones (with stands), and cords for those shows where none are available. We can even do acoustic if that's what the venue requires! We can play almost anywhere!
We can bring our own equiptment if needed, and we don't have many expectations about lighting, or staging at this point.
Our current set list is a mix of new music and covers. We do covers of songs such as Little Lion Man and Float with a mix of our own songs such as Brushy Mountain and Sunflowers. Our set list is going to be changing as we're about to release an album and we'll be trying to do more of our original music.

The lead singer being from Ireland a big influence is the bands that started the folk music revival, such as Mumford and Sons, Laura Marling, and Johnny Flynn. The other members just nodded and agreed.
