I talked with every bartending and catering company in the state I could to find the right fit for our national clients. There was no comparison. I had my 40th birthday with these guys mixing at our home. They came with a beautiful retro bar and awesome antique looking equipment and glassware. The owner, William, came over weeks before to do tastings with us on our signature drinks, which came out stunning, with fresh herbs and fruits. It was, hands down, the best bar service I've ever hired and will recommend over and over!
My husband and I were on a budget for our wedding, but we didn't want to sacrifice service and style, so we hunted and hunted for each and every detail. We were quoted prices from several different caterers in Birmingham, but none match the quality of service and product that we found in the Bar Hops. We rented out their perfect copper top bar and all the higher end glassware they had! Our reception of 350 of our closest friends and family was such hit with our signature cocktails and we didn't break the bank. I have not hired them for a smaller party yet, but I've also seen several events through their Facebook page that look incredible. The level of service and style left us without a doubt who we want behind our bars from now on!
We hired William for a photoshoot in our magazine and got far more than we had expected. He brought homemade syrups, bitters, foams, big ice spheres, and a cold smoker to incorporate smoke into a cocktail! The word molecular gastronomy comes to mind. This article was supposed to be a simple article on winter cocktails, but wow. WOW! Would not hire anyone else to represent our brand!
We hired the Bar Hops team for our annual fundraiser. They helped us with everything from bartenders to alcohol licensing and purchase. They even gave us a copy of their recipe book to look through for ideas on signature cocktails. The party went off without a hitch and we raised more this year from bar sales than the past two combined. They are our bar service from now on!

We do a lot of small parties at our home and the Bar Hops have done two of them. They're services are well worth the rates. At each one they consulted with us on alcohol and made spectacular signature cocktails with fresh hand squeezed juices and little extras that now my friends are asking how to get the same at their home. I'm so glad we found The Bar Hops crew! We had issues with our venue on serving alcohol, not a problem for these guys. They met with the venues manager and the ABC and worked out the details so our benefit could happen. Will definitely be calling them on our next event!

That is exactly what you'll get with The Bar Hops. We contacted them late to serve a group of 40 guests for my parents 50th Wedding Anniversary. They made this event easy for us providing a variety of products and services to meet our budget and "tailor make" our ideal event. They even chose some of the alcohol where we were undecided. They provided everything including glassware, mixers, and an outstanding professional bartender who "wowed" our guests with his creative drinks for those who want something a little different now and then. We got The Bar Hops to help us out with our biggest fundraiser of the year and it went smoother than smooth. We had around 1000 people in and out of McWane center that evening and The Bar Hops came and setup and made sure the team followed our guidelines to make this one of the easiest benefits we've ever put on. We hired Bar Hops for our wedding reception through a recommendation from a friend and the level of service they provided was well worth the price. Signature cocktails that I don't even see in most local restaurants. They seem to book up fast around holiday and wedding season months so get them in quick! Just booked them again for our anniversary!
We had planned our annual fundraiser months before at a local gallery. The problem came when the building manager told us we needed licenses and insurance. We had initially contacted another beverage caterer who was completely overwhelmed by these changes and conveniently stopped answering our calls and emails 3 days before the event! Luckily our friends at Vulcan Park told us about Bar Hops and they took care of everything. Starting with contacting the building manager and straightening our situation out and then bringing in all the necessary equipment and mixings, they even made us a signature craft cocktail menu. We have had problems with similar services in the past, but our event facility would not run for large events with out the help of these guys. They make it simple and easy and get all the work done without us having to lift a finger. Our office is open to all calls and questions at any time if changes need to be made. Our fully insured and certified staff will arrive an hour early, in professional dress and attitude. We will bring in all equipment and set up our service area to all specifications and be ready to serve before the event start. Simply put we are Alabama's #1 Bar Service. We start off by consulting each of our clients on bar needs and guest satisfaction, which helps right off the bat to save time and money. Once we have all the details down, our office is open to answer any questions you may have. On the day of the event, our staff will arrive 1 hour before the event start, or more if necessary, and setup your bar so you can be sure that an ice cold drink can be served right at the opening. We provide all necessary bar tools, however we do rent our attractive spandex and copper bars to most events, as well as coolers, trashcans, glassware and other bar setups. Depending on each event, we may also provide alcohol, mixers, and garnishes, eliminating the work for the planner and client.

Our team has several years of management experience and will assist in appropriately tailoring an establishment plan and its cost to each of our clients wants and needs. We can supply everything from top to bottom for your event. The only items we may not bring would be a bar if one is already in place and the alcohol, however these items will be discussed upon booking.

Our owner, William Batson, has worked and managed bars and venues for the better part of a decade which led to the start of The Bar Hops. Starting at the infamous Blue Monkey Lounge, William learned the master techniques of mixing a proper cocktail. Eventually he latched on to the nationally acclaimed concert and event venue, WorkPlay, where he managed and excelled in product management and staffing. This gave backbone to the start of the company and has since helped dozens of events and venues reach their goals.
