I play lots of gigs. Birthday parties, weddings, cocktail parties, etcetera. I also play lots of house concerts: groupmuse, private home concerts, private concerts in different venues. So I’m very familiar with the gig procedure, especially for weddings, I have played so far over 60 weddings in my life.
Chuxuejie Zhang is a young, passionate violinist/violist with great ambition. She believes good musicians not only play music with their hands but also with their heart.
Chuxuejie Zhang began her violin studies at the age of four, studying with Professor Xu Lv at the attached highschool of the Central Conservatory of Music in China. During her education at the Central Conservatory, she participated in the China Youth Chamber Music Group and was a member of the China Youth Symphony Orchestra, the only national youth orchestra in China. She went on tour with this orchestra in northern China as well as Taiwan and Korea and had the chance to work with Conductor Xincao Li, Lin Chen, Cellist Bonian Tian, Violinist Xiaoming Wang and Siqing Lv.
Ms. Zhang has participated in various master classes with the Concertmaster of the Zürich Opera House Xiaoming Wang, Geoff Nuttall from the St. Lawrence String Quartet, Sunny Yang from the Kronos Quartet, and Eric Chin and Jeremiah Shaw from the Telegraph Quartet.
Chuxuejie Zhang currently studies at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music where she is pursuing her Bachelor of Music Degree in Violin Performance with Professor Ian Swensen while also learning chamber music with Professor Joseph Maile.

I have been a bug fan of violinist David Oistrakh. Him and the old Russian school has been a huge influence on me.
