Their fan base has grown exponentially since their start in January of 2015; as well as their recognition for their awesome unique sound.
System Slave’s boundaries are limitless, in terms of writing, and their talent is equally matched. A group of guys who each possess their own individual natural raw talent and a ton of experience between them all, as a Band, are PHENOMENAL! They have the same goal in mind; to get share their music and their love for music with the masses! To say that they stand true to any particular “genre” of music would be incorrect, but their one uniformity is Rock! They have songs that range between Rock, Hard Rock, Alternative, Metal, Alternative Metal, and Acoustic. This is what is meant by their being Unique. A band that you do not want to miss!
System Slave came together in January of 2015 with one common goal, writing great music and to someday take their music to the world stage! They have had many great things happen in their first year after releasing their first three songs on ReverbNation. Their plan was to release 3 of our songs to let it build up our Audience while we worked on our Album. Shortly after the release of ‘Loaded’, ‘Last in Line’, and ‘Lights of Seattle’; Loaded went on to Win Best Hard Rock Song in the Academia Awards.
System Slave also went on to being interviewed and published in Music Magazines, magazines such as; Melodic Magazine - Chicago Illinois, The Cuba High School Newspaper, RBL Magazine, and Silly Magazine. All accomplished within less than a year.
System Slave loves Music in General and they have many Influences in the Music Industry. They measure the value of Music with their hearts and that's exactly how they write their music, so if it sounds good to them, regardless of whether it be; Country, Rock, Folk, Metal, or otherwise, if they are inspired to write it they will, and they will perform it in its original form.
System Slave plays many styles of music, right now that being primarily, Rock and Metal. However, they also have many great Folk songs in waiting in line. Their goals are to be great at what they do, write great and inspirational music, build a family with their Audience, tour the world, and to deliver to their fans a long list of epic albums in the future. System Slave has no plans of going anywhere, they are here to stay!
Each and every Band Member of System Slave are well rounded Musicians, so their influences range across a vast spectrum of genres, from; Funk, Blues, Folk, Hard Rock, Rock, Metal, and Classical. Bands such as; Soil Work, Lamb of God, Killswitch Engage, Trivium, Epica, Ten Years, Shinedown, Five Finger Death Punch, Pearl Jam, and Metallica; just to name a few!
The Band finds inspiration for their Music from what’s going on in the World, addressing many of the issues we face in everyday life and express that through their songs. They believe these issues aren't discussed enough and they need to be addressed so that we can make our lives a lot better in today’s society! A Collective of Truth, if you will.
As Musicians some of them have been playing with bands in the past trying to find the right people to work with. Mike Messex and Stephen Harris have been in a few different Bands together, starting with ‘The Hate Conspiracy’ and ‘Rare Human Design’. Later, Mike and Stephen formed ‘Evading Azrael’ which also Featured Chuck Guzman for the first time. Cody Golden and Mike also play in a band called ‘Brute Force’, which brought their paths together, as Musicians. They have all known each other for several years as great friends and partners in Music.
“It’s chiseled vocal grain, vulnerable lyricism and fervent guitar communications make 'Loaded' a compelling rock jam with the kind of originality you can build an album around.” - The Akademia Music Awards
*A Review from ‘The Akademia Music Awards’ - Los Angeles, California, about System Slave’s Song, ‘Loaded’, Presented with an Award for “Best Hard Rock Song”.
“No matter how much or how little one-on-one time I got to speak to each of the guys of System Slave, watching them perform really goes to show that each one of them feel a sense of accomplishment. They are all so humble and so proud of how far they’ve come.
They really do put on an entertaining show and one person’s opinion isn’t going to sway the feelings they take home afterwards; it’s the crowd and the electricity in the air. Believe me when I say that their fans admire and appreciate them as if they were their own family, just as they appreciate and admire their fans for being so supportive.” - Melodic Magazine
*A Review from ‘Melodic Magazine’, about System Slave’s performance at Pop's Night Club & Concert Venue - Sauget, IL
“Our metal is Edgy, Powerful and Melodic we want to do something different something that hasn't been done yet and with that the only Genre anyone could put us in would be ‘REAL’.” - System Slave
