About Swig - Event Staffing & Coordination

Swig is a Philadelphia based bartender, server, chef and coordinator contract service provider for private events and caterers. We staff all types of public and private events, from weddings, graduations and holiday parties to celebrity soirees and wine tastings.

We handpick all of our Swigtenders, so our staff list is small, but each is extremely experienced and will be a great addition to your event. They will take care of setup, food and bar service, cleanup, etc.

Our professional, hardworking Swigtenders are knowledgable and fun; they'll take the worry off serving your guests so you can relax and enjoy your event!

SWIG will change your life!

I cannot believe that I didn't make use of SWIG prior to now. I love to entertain and tend to go a little overboard in terms of what I am serving and trying to do (and I may also be a control freak). Every time I host an event, I swear the next time I will hire SWIG so I don't spend the entire time in the kitchen. The preparations usually end up taking longer than I anticipate and between getting apps out, dinner and then cleaning (because God forbid I let any of my guests help), I'm literally in the kitchen the entire time. After hosting 2 Thanksgivings in 2015 and with my Holiday Soiree/House warming just a few weeks later, and still having the fact that the first time I met my Dad's girlfriend's son I only said hello and goodbye and was holed up in the kitchen the entire time permanently stamped in my head as a fail, I opted to engage SWIG. The help was unbelievable and I was actually able to attend my own party. I had time to speak with all of my guests, in the living room... and dining room... and outside rather than them trying to talk to me as things go in and out of the oven! Talia did such a great job jumping in the second she walked in the door to chaos that I actually didn't even think about party/food logistics after she was there for an hour. She was like a stealth ninja making sure the food was full, hot, trash was nowhere to be seen, peoples jackets placed in the designated bedroom, all without being seen or heard. All of my guests had 2 comments: Did you really cook all of this food? and who was the person helping? because I need to hire them for my next event. If you haven't had the chance to join your own party, take it from a psycho control freak, hire SWIG! It will be the best thing you've ever done and you'll wonder how you survived this long without them.

I recently hired a Swig bartender for an engagement party and I have nothing but great things to say about them top to bottom. Sara, the owner, responded more quickly, with more information, and more helpfully than any other company that I contacted for a quote. After going back and forth about the details of the event (all of which occurred very expediently), Sara prepared a detailed checklist of necessary (and optional) items for stocking the bar based upon our anticipated guest list. As a side note, she was spot on with her estimated quantities of everything. A week prior to the event, Sara checked in with me to make sure that I did not need anything from her prior to the event. The bartender who worked our event was named Erin. Erin arrived on time and immediately jumped in to help us set up. She was very helpful with organizing the bar and also helped to set up some of the food. From the start of the event, she offered impeccable service and she was very professional. This was my first time hiring a bartender for an event, but Sara and Erin made it a seamless experience. I would definitely do it again and I would recommend Swig without hesitation!

We can't thank Sara and her staff enough for their help! We used Swig for a party of about 50 people at our home. Sara is very organized and the bartender and server that she sent to our home were prompt, hardworking, flexible, polite, friendly, and kind. We were finally able to really enjoy hosting a party at our home. I will definitely be hiring Swig again for future events!

Swig, sent Reba to bartend a family reunion at my house. She arrived on time and started setting up the bar without needing much direction. She was friendly ,confident, and professional with my guests. It was so nice not to worry about if I had enough ice or cups, etc. My guests were in good hands- thank you Swig and Reba for a stress free party!

Our nonprofit agency has booked Swig for three major annual fundraising events for their bartending, wait staff and event coordination services. Each event was more successful than the last, due in large part to Swig.
