I just attended a Styled-It workshop and loved it!! Alice is very knowledgable!! I don't consider myself a very creative person, but I feel like I left the workshop with ideas I can use at my next event. If you are looking for a fun and interactive activity to do with friends or family members, sign up for a workshop! You will leave with a great ideas to use at your next event!
I had the pleasure of attending a child's birthday party that Alice had designed and executed with amazing flair. It was then that I knew I had to have her do my wedding flowers and decor. She was professional, knowledgable (who would have known to think about which beautiful flowers actually smell terrible!) and her eye for style is incredible. I was beyond impressed with the final result. From my bouquet to the tablescapes, the entire event was stunning and unique. Her skills are definitely valuable to be shared and I would recommend anyone to take one of her classes and absorb as much as you can!
I have been browsing the styled-it website for the past few weeks and finally signed up for my first workshop on the 26th with one of my girlfriends and I can't tell you how excited I am. I'm so glad there is finally someone out there willing to teach us some of there tricks to setting up and hosting a fabulous party! If her workshop is anything like the pictures on the website I'm sure you'll be seeing another review from me! I'll keep you posted and let you know how the upcoming "inspired tablescapes" workshop goes.

Hi, I'm Alice Nielsen and I'm the creative design stylist and founder behind Styled-It, Inc. I've been married to a wonderful man for 21 years, and have three beautiful kids! I'm passionate about my family, friends, and great food. I enjoy creating memorable events and always find it to be a labor of love! I started my design career as owner/partner of a floral design boutique in Chicago and while it nurtured my creative needs there was always that feeling that something was missing. Eventually I started focusing on creating events for family and friends and within a few months I was being urged to pursue a career in party planning. While the temptation was great, I knew then as I know now, that event planning was not in my destiny. One of life's grandest lessons I’ve learned, is that it’s not the actual “things” you share that matter, but who you share them with, that matter the most. I have met so many wonderful people who share my passion and enthusiasm for entertaining, floral designing, and cooking that I couldn’t think of a better customer to have, to share my ideas and lessons learned through the years! This is how my business, Styled-It, an educational party planning workshop was conceived, we're not here to plan your event, we're here to teach you how to plan your own event the Styled-It way!

Influences & Inspiration
As far back as I can remember "making things pretty" has always been what's driven me to pursue a life long career in style and design. For many years I owned a floral design business in Chicago and working with clients on creating beautiful events was both inspiring as well as educational in the art of "style diversity". I've learned that designing and creating is a labor of love and can only be executed to it's fullest extent when you truly have your heart in what you're creating!
