Stray Local is a acoustic roots trio based in Wilmington, NC. We have a very eclectic repertory ranging from Old Time Fiddle music to contemporary pop covers. Emphasizing the tight harmonies and driving rhythms, we love to get people dancing! Instruments that we often play during a performance include guitar, mandolin, fiddle, banjo, cajun, washboard, snare drum and the occasional foot tambourine.

Stray Local is a vision that has been brewing in the minds of Hannah and Jamie for the past year and a half and is now finally taking shape. With influences ranging from Southern Old Time to R&B to Jam Rock this duo sees no boundaries while collaborating and writing songs together. While studying music together at UNCG they honed their classical chops but also picked up a love for old time fiddle music. Though they went separate ways after graduating, they are now reunited in Wilmington and ready to bottle the musical brew that has been frothing from the edge.
Additional Booking Notes
We can provide our own live sound equipment, which includes a portable PA system and microphones. All we would require is an outlet.
We can provide traditional Southern Old Time fiddle music but we can also play contemporary pop tunes. Two of the members in Stray Local received their college degrees in classical guitar and voice respectively. We are able to learn requested songs for a gig at a rapid pace.
