SqueezeBox Comedy offers a Musical-Improv show featuring a small 3-4 person cast of professional musicians/improvisors that have been performing together for years. Kevin MacLeod is the most-listened-to musical composer in history (No Joke)! C.J. Guzan is a professional improv comedian/musician that has performed from Superior, WI to Kansas City, MO, and is prominent in the improv scenes of Milwaukee, Chicago, and Green Bay! Craig Knitt is a professional improv comedian/musician with decades of experience and an infectious personality!
Each member of SqueezeBox Comedy brings the energy of three people to the stage, and each performer is a show-runner, so every SqueezeBox Comedy show is like seeing a band of band leaders! It's quite the exhilarating experience.
A SqueezeBox Comedy show consists of live covers of classic rock, and original improvised songs done in any and every musical style under the sun. Each performer is a singer, musician, and improvisor, and 90% of every show is completely improvised, meaning the show we perform for you has never been seen before, and will never be seen again. Interlaced with short-form improv games and hilarious banter between the performers and the audience, every SqueezeBox Comedy show is tailor-made for that night's particular audience.
Whether you're looking to entertain 30 people or 300 people, we have our own equipment (Sound & Lighting) and can fill a room with our clean sound.
We sincerely hope that you choose us for your next event! We love the challenge of fitting your needs and we aim to outdo ourselves every time! Thank you for reading, and we hope to be in touch soon!
It all started when, ironically enough, Kevin, C.J., and Craig participated in a show in 2015 that fell apart from the beginning. The crowd seemed to love only two aspects of the strange variety show: The Improv and the Music. That night, as C.J. and Kevin drove the 90 minutes home, they critiqued every single element of the show, in detail, and found themselves in a ‘This is how I would have done it’ style conversation that went for the whole trip, and three more hours afterward. Although philosophizing about the ‘what-ifs’ was fun and made for good conversation, neither of them realized until much later that they basically laid the groundwork for SqueezeBox Comedy.
Soon after, Craig also expressed similar feelings and stated his longing for a show in which the performers could sincerely have fun during the entirety of the show-building process.
None of this was lost on C.J., who allowed ideas of a new show to percolate in his mind for the next 14 months. His persistence and determination have acted as serious catalysts in making SqueezeBox Comedy become a reality. In June of 2016, C.J. returned from his second trip to Kansas City, MO with a newly invigorated passion for Improv, and a drive to create something new with people he could trust and rely on. While en route to West Virginia the following week, C.J. called Craig with a request. He told Craig that he would put his entire body, mind, and soul into a new show that they would build together, if Craig was willing to do the same. It was during that call that Craig suggested Kevin as the third member. C.J. felt blind when he hadn’t thought of Kevin earlier in the call.
Before they knew it, the three were sitting outside of Kevin’s suburban Green Bay home discussing their new show on a daily basis. One thing led to another, and they approached Tucker about being the fourth member of their new Comedy Show, to which he happily agreed.
Within the first week, they had created the basic format on which SqueezeBox Comedy is based, had decided on a name (With Bring The Fluff, Road House Dust Bunnies, and …Up For Stuff… being close contenders) and had developed the idea of adding song to the mix, with the especially fun and unique Accordion being the centerpiece. Kevin’s brilliant organization and entrepreneurship led them to purchasing all of the equipment needed to be a fully-equipped traveling show within the week.
For SqueezeBox Comedy to put the Musical in Musical-Improv show, C.J. taught himself the drums, often practicing with Kevin between 10 and 20 hours a week. C.J. was, at first, apprehensive about his amateur drumming abilities, but Kevin’s assurances that “He has a better natural sense of rhythm and beat than most of the professional drummers I’ve worked with” was motivation enough for C.J. to hone his skill. Kevin and C.J. enjoy playing together, can and will play quite literally any genre of music, and have an uncanny ability to end any song at exactly the same time, no matter what.
With all of the pieces assembled, the four-man team organized a private show in Kevin’s house for a test audience of carefully selected friends and neighbors. This group of eight people was to be SqueezeBox’s first ever official audience. Since then, SqueezeBox has performed at Breweries, Improv Festivals, Theaters, Comedy Clubs, and all manner of performance spaces.
Their show has run it’s own gauntlet, and is now a major contender for the public eye on contemporary performance and entertainment, and they deserve it. Every show gets even better. Every audience leaves thoroughly entertained and satisfied. Yet they continue to practice, hone their skills, and push the envelope.

SqueezeBox Comedy comes equipped with all of its own tech and lighting needs. Mics, Lighting, and Sound are all included and only require a power outlet. As for the stage, the larger the space the better. We can fit in small spaces as well, and tailor our setup to fit our performance space. We have played in living rooms and on massive stages, so as long as we have at least a 15' x 10' space, we're in great form! Keep in mind that we are improvisors, so we have and will work around problems gracefully on the fly.
SqueezeBox Comedy is unique. It has elements of many musical acts that influenced our show's format, like The Steve Miller Band, The Doors, and Fats Domino. Our Improv skills come from a lifetime of training and performance that has brought out unique skill sets in each performing member of SqueezeBox Comedy. The main influences include Steve Martin, Amy Poehler, Rodney Dangerfield, Del Close, and a list that goes on and on and on... Our show is original, collaborative, and the best Musical-Improv Show in Wisconsin!
We simply require two electrical outlets close to our performance space. Otherwise, we take care of everything!
