When an audience comes to see a Spectators show, they can expect around 1-1.5 hours of a music set filled with original music (and covers upon request). You can expect a lively music set filled with fan favorites such as "Retro", "When My Humanity Starts Showing Through", "Wire", and more!
Spectators will also rent, setup, and tear-down any needed PA system for an event. During the advancing of a show, promoters can request Spectators to take care of all the production needs at an additional cost dependant on what's needed for the event.
Spectators is a three-piece Indie-Space/Dance-Punk (ISDP) band from the Suburbs of Chicago. Since the group’s formation in 2012, they have built a strong following through their invigorating live performances with a unique blend of experimental rock and stimulating pop. Their first full-length album, Paranoia, was released on April 5th, 2014.
As a result of Paranoia’s release, the band became well known in the Chicagoland area appearing on radio interviews, opening spots for bands/artists such as SAINTS OF VALORY and Chris Medina, and ultimately having the opportunity to perform in New York on VH1.
During a 2016 hiatus, lead singer Josiah Viland enjoyed a season in professional baseball whilst guitarist Walter Halliwell toured with the Christian pop band, Citizen Way. In the meantime, drummer Tayler Buck played at home with his cat.
The three remaining Spectators reunited in the summer of 2017 to begin laying the foundation for a new record. Working alongside producers Zach Kranz and 12th, Spectators released their latest album, The String and the Bow, in the Fall of 2018.
Additional Booking Notes
IN-EAR MONITOR SYSTEM:
Spectators tours with (3) in-ears, a rackmount console, and a 24-channel XLR splitter. The on-stage inputs would plug into our XLR splitter and it splits so that the 24 channels go to the band's monitor console AND the venue's FOH console (or whatever patch bay is at the stage). Whoever is running FOH will be able to mix the house and monitors as they normally would for all other bands in the lineup after Spectators patch in their in-ear system - but when Spectators come up to perform, he/she will just need to mute all the wedges and the band will control their own in-ears.
All live tracks output from the rackmount via XLR and include bass (if none live) and stereo tracks.
Stereo output from a Kemper (no on-stage guitar amps).
