About Southern Exposure Band

"Southern Exposure" is now "SHANYTOWN." The Drummer and lead vocals/guitar are brothers and nephews of the late Ronnie Van Zant, Johnny and Donnie Van Zant. (Lynyrd Skynyrd, 38 Special.) Robbie played drums for Johnny Van Zant in the Johnny Van Zant Band national act for over 16 years, with six albums and multiple MTV videos. Ronnie (lead vocals/guitar) was named after his Uncle Ronnie and is commonly referred to as "'Lil Ronnie", bringing the same charisma his Uncle Ronnie brought to the stage. The band is signed with Garage Door Records. CD and MP3 Album available at all internet vendors, including Best buy.

"Van Zants" are in the house...are you ready to rock?!! Will travel.

ShanyTown--"The legacy Continues". The legacy is the Van Zant family: "Lynyrd Skynyrd", "38 Special", and the "Johnny Van Zant Band." Three sons, 3 bands, and now the nephews are continuing the legacy with their band ShanyTown, which is already known worldwide and whose album is selling exceeding well worldwide.

Audiences love ShanyTown but not only for their music; they truly engage and interact with the audience which is is extremely important. By the end of the show the audience feels they have "participated" in the experience and not merely observed the band.

Ronnie Morris (Van Zant nephew) was named after his uncle the late Ronnie Van Zant (founder and front man for Lynyrd Skynyrd"), and inside the industry he is referred to as "Lil Ronnie". Lil Ronnie brings the same talent, voice, and charisma to the stage as his uncle Ronnie once did.

Robbie Morris played drums for his Uncle Johnny (Van Zant) for 16 years. They made 6 albums and multiple videos together. He is well known for his drumming and was named one of the best drummers in the US. Ted Nugent nicknamed him "Woodcutter" and asked him to join his band, but Robbie remained loyal and stayed with the "Johnny Van Zant Band".

This is not a "weekend" or "garage band". Rather, ShanyTown is "Concert" band. This is every member's love and job. It's all we do.

Videos of band available online under SHANYTOWN. All members are highly experienced musicians and can anticipate audience demands. Audio and video upon request. Will travel the globe.
