She started playing music at the age of 6, and she's never looked back since then.
Soapbox Girl is a Nashville-based pop/synthpop recording artist, singer-songwriter, and musician.
Having grown up in a background of classical music, school band/jazz band, and secular musical theatre, her passion and fire for her music has always roared. Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, Soapbox Girl moved to Nashville in 2013 to further pursue her career. She met producer Chris Love shortly afterward, who was voted "Best Producer of the Year" for the Nashville Industry Music Awards, and together they began to record her compositions and allow them to come to life. In an experiment for a new sound, Love and Soapbox Girl tracked "Beautiful Disaster" to be a more electronically-based demo, and she's been a synthpop artist since.
The single was recently released in May 2016 to digital stores everywhere.
Soapbox Girl will always love performing, writing, and jamming out to country music. But pop was where she discovered her true voice, her true identity.
"I felt like I pulled a Taylor Swift, to go from writing pop-country to synthpop. I feel as if I've always followed after her footsteps anyways. She moved to Nashville from up North-- I did it too. She switched from country to pop--well, coincidentally or not, I'm doing the same now"
Soapbox Girl is currently in the process of writing her upcoming debut synthpop EP that she will later track with Love in the next few months at Chris Love Studios. This album, she claims, will be nothing like anything her fans had heard before.
"It's gonna really make people feel, and embrace the darkest, and most beautiful sides to humanity and the motifs of today's world. It's going to be a launching of musical fireworks that will truly make my fans' souls melt in empathy and exhilaration. Most importantly, it's going to tell my story, and I hope that it can truly help people and make a difference in the world, especially among today's youth."
Soapbox Girl is scheduled for several shows and tours this summer! Please email (email hidden) if you are interested in booking her at your venue!
