Born in Gifu, Japan, Shunzo’s rise to prominence began in 1974, when he accepted an offer to perform with the legendary jazz drummer Art Blakey. Following his tenure with Blakey,
Shunzo propelled into a series of important collaborations, with Machito and his Afro-Cuban Orchestra, Wayne Shorter, Larry Coryell, Herbie Hancock, and Gil Evans. Shunzo has recorded 16 albums as a leader and has been featured on two Grammy winning recordings.

Shunzo uses electronic as well as acoustic instruments. Both piano and keyboards, Open Trumpet, Muted Trumpet and WahWah, Acoustic Guitar and Electric Guitar as well as acoustic bass and Electric Bass Full drum kit and full Tabla drum set.
The sound mixing must be professional.
