The Ship of Fools is a short form improv comedy troupe based out of West Lafayette, Indiana. Made up of Purdue students, we perform at venues in and around campus, and beyond. We are flexible on performance time and content.
I see them at Purdue all the time and i think they're great!
I've seen the Ship of Fools multiple times and I think they're great! At least as funny as Whose Line is it Anyway, maybe even better.
They performed at a summer camp at which I was a volunteer. Lots of fun, high energy - I'd certainly hire them if the opportunity arose again!

We are a student-run improvisational comedy troupe from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. We specialize in short-form improv, which is the sort of thing you see on Whose Line Is It Anyway: a rapid-fire series of short games and skits, all of it made up on the spot based on suggestions from the audience.
Two years after the creation of the Purdue Improv Club, eight of the members created an improv troupe known as “The Ship of Fools”. Originally, they performed for each other’s entertainment, but eventually started to give public performances around campus. Now, The Fools perform multiple times a month around Purdue University, in Lafayette, throughout Indiana and the surrounding states. A former or current Fool hosts Open Forum each week, and the other members of the troupe can be seen in attendance. The Fools also perform with and/or attend the shows of other improv troupes on and around campus, such as Ad Liberation, The Crazy Monkeys, and One Size Fits All.
As a general rule, we’ll need chairs on stage for each performer, as well as a sufficient supply of bottled water. Depending on the venue, microphones may also come into play. If you can help us by supplying extension cords so we can plug in a video camera, we would be oh so happy.
Also, food is always appreciated. We *are* college students, after all.
That all depends on the venue you’re offering, the audience you want to entertain, the organization hiring us, distance from campus, the phase of the moon, etc. This is definitely the sort of question you should contact about directly, since there’s no one-size-fits-all answer.
We love performing. Every performance we try to learn from, and try to grow as a troupe, so we definitely love feed back.
Our major influences come from watching hours of 'Whose Line is it Anyway?'
