A four-piece melding of talented and diverse artists who simply love to perform and write music.
"Chuck and Barrie (Sea 'N B) and the band play such a wide range of music at such a high level of excellence that everyone will enjoy hearing them as I do.
Many times I have stopped by to hear their music and have a drink and found myself sucked up into the tropical-rock hurricane that follows their music.
Onto the dance floor. I can’t think of a favorite song of mine that they don’t know. It’s truly amazing. "

"Sea 'N B band" - . This 4 piece band provides just the right island flavor to almost everything they do in addition to bringing their own interpretation to cover music of the 60's right through today always adding in many of their own recordings many of which are heard consistently on local radio. Favorite local radio numbers include "That's How Bad it Was in the Good Old Days" "My life is Yours" "You can run but you can't Hide" "Everything's goin' up but my Paycheck" and many others. Please check out their latest CD recording entitled "Too Hot to Handle" available on Barefoot Records and on iTunes through Dual Tone Records. They perform in Florida, the Cayman Islands and Bahamas annually.
The ‘Sea’ stands for Chuck Quapp, a multi-instrumentalist originally from New York but a Cayman resident since 1983. The ‘B’ stands for Barrie Quapp, who grew up in East End on Grand Cayman listening to her father’s LP’s and learning calypso classics from the taxi drivers all the while helping her parents at Tortuga Club, their small family resort. The music they create together is always tropical and fun but with an edge of pop and rock and roll. After touring the east coast of the USA and with the US military in Europe, the duo came back to visit Barrie’s family in Cayman, and never left! Chuck and Barrie have written hundreds of songs, commercials and scored musicals for the theatre and are members of the internationally recognized performing rights societies, BMI and ASCAP. In 1998 they won a US National award for a radio advertisement they wrote and produced for Big Brothers/Big Sisters of America with US air play. Their instrumental work has played on NBC’s “Passions” soap opera, and in the 90’s their island instrumental CD “Caribbean Vacation” sold 40,000 units in Walmart stores in the US over a 2 year period and is still available on (link hidden).
The experience and variety of music styles of these four performers always leaves you wanting more. They perform regularly in Cayman at the Havana Club on West Bay Road – they all love cigars and travel regularly to perform overseas on their own and with the Barefoot Man
We are basically a four piece - full mixer, mics, speakers montiors set-up - drums, bass, guitar/keys and congas. If these available for rental locally you would have to add that cost to your event. Other costs would include airline tickets, rental vehicle (van) hotel rooms (usually 2 rooms will cover ). The lighting and stage requirements would be gig-dependent - we have played on full professional stage set-ups with accompanying designed light shows and private homes on their pool deck!
The group will 'assess' the audience - older, younger and adapt the set list accordingly. The core entertainment is 'island' themed which can be risque songs by Caribbean artisit like Sparrow or Pluto, to classic jazz pieces like "Autumn leaves" for the dinner early on in the evening. Our own originals have become regionally popular where we play and have been described as island/jazz to trop-rock. The latest music such as Zak Brown's "Let it Go", "50 Ways" and "Lazy" are always added to have current material on hand.
Beatles, Pink, Eagles, Prince - soo many!
