I am a professional cellist with 10 years of experience playing professionally. I have performed with the Santa Rosa Symphony, the Shoals Symphony Orchestra, and recorded on the albums of various independent alternative artists such as Amiliah Doherty and Leafa Vagatai, as a member of several worship/praise bands and for the live band of multiple musicals local to Nashville, TN. I am available for hire as background music for weddings and special events, and frequently play with a pianist in the Nashville area who is available for hire as well.
Sara was great to work with!
Sara and Rebekah did an amazing job. Sara was so patient and sweet when this mom was probably driving her crazy! They definitely went the extra mile for us as song selections were changed at the last minute. Everything they performed was beautiful. They set the stage for a beautiful wedding. I would definitely recommend them for any event, especially weddings! We received numerous compliments from our guests about how the music Sara and Rebekah provided (cellist and pianist) made the ceremony so elegant and special. Both of them are gracious and professional. We were blessed and lucky to have found them.
Sara was absolutely excellent at my wedding. She was always fast to respond to any questions I had beforehand. Her and her sister (our pianist) were very professional in every step of process. The quality of the music played was amazing and exactly what we wanted. I highly recommend her to anyone who wants exceptional music at their event!
Response from Sara Davis:
Thanks Austin! It was wonderful to celebrate with you on your happy day. Best wishes!
We used Sara for our June 21st wedding. She was extremely helpful with every step of the planning process. Even though we lived 3 hours away and never met till the rehearsal Sarah worked hard to make sure we were always on the same page. She had great ideas about the type of music to be played and offered great suggestions to help make our ceremony music perfect. Sara was always quick to email and respond to any questions. She gladly offered to come to the rehearsal to ensure every part of the ceremony went perfectly. We could not have picked a better musician to play at our ceremony. I could not think of one negative about Sara!
Response from Sara Davis:
Thanks Logan! We loved celebrating with you!

Over the years, it has been a joy to collaborate with brides, wedding planners, and the families of those who are preparing for these special events to take that event to the next level. Music is so integral to creating a unique and memorable moment! The difference between a track and an in-person musician can be so huge. When we book a wedding, we feel the privilege to celebrate with you, and the joy we are sharing with you resonates in the strings of our instruments.
Born and raised in California's Sonoma Valley (Wine Country at its best!) I grew up with classical music all around me! I was uniquely exposed to that world at a very young age, when renowned conductor Jeffrey Kahane picked up the baton of the Santa Rosa Symphony and made it one of the best symphonies in the area.
At age 12, I was at a summer camp for violin when I happened upon the rehearsal of a cello solo - the Breval Sonata. As I sat in the back of that auditorium and listened to this 17-year-old girl bring the instrument to life, I knew that was my instrument. I took up the cello that summer and have never looked back.
For me, being a cellist always ties back to the moment that I had as a child, feeling something in my heart constrict as the music swelled out of that instrument at the hands of only a teenager. I learned then that music is a powerful tool to bring out the emotions we often try to hide away. I have always carried that with me, as I have played at many weddings and events for people who used to be strangers, but then invited me into one of the most pivotal moments of their lives! I recognize my part in that moment, and I take it seriously. It is a privilege and a joy to play a part in creating such an important moment, and I look forward to hearing about how you would like yours to take shape!
Typically we bring with us all the necessary equipment for us to both play, and be heard. This includes:

My background is in classical music, and thus am very comfortable reading off orchestra parts. I prefer to have a part written for me when I play on an album, but am comfortable improvising if given proper advance notice.
