What to Expect
Sammi is a dynamic and truly versatile performer with a number of stage incarnations. From torch songs to classic rock, funk to broadway, her repertoire encompasses many genres and will custom build a set list to perfectly fit your event. Available with full band, quartet, trio or just a guitar or piano.
A singer, songwriter, and media personality from Vancouver BC, Sammi Morelli has never been one to shy away from exploration and diversifying talents. The same has always been the case for performance, launching into dance, musical theater, jazz and classical at a young age. The hunger for an expanded musical vocabulary then lead her to start writing and recording pop, rock and blues, eventually morphing into a career as a broadcaster.
At 13, she had completed her 1st full-length album, “Unlimited”, and at 16 a 5 song EP, with the production team of SA TRACKWORKS. By 20, she had teamed up with a local band to form “The New Colors”, recording another original 5 song EP, and had the privilege to take the stage at the Croatian Cultural Centre and the infamous Vogue theatre. With multiple recordings under her belt and a hefty library of self-penned and co-written material, Sammi is currently working on several music projects, including her 2nd full length album.
With multiple high-profile performances and TV appearances under her belt, including the Vancouver International Jazz Festival, featured performance on MTV Live, an opening slot for Black Eyed Peas in Vancouver, A Ride to Conquer Cancer benefit at Performance Works, Granville Island alongside Canadian buzz act, Dirty Radio, as well joining Decca recording group "Three Graces" for a private performance in Toronto's esteemed Yacht Club.
Simultaneously pursuing her passion for broadcasting, Sammi landed a spot on Canada’s most popular Top 40 stations, Virgin 953, fresh out of school as a swing announcer.
After spending two years On Air with the dynamic, trendsetting Sun Fm and EZ Rock stations in Kelowna, BC, as well as making her mark in the local theatre scene, starring in "9 to 5: The Musical" and "Spamalot!" with Kelowna Actors Studio to rave reviews, Sammi's ready for the next chapter in Toronto. Carefully cultivating songs for her next release, collaborating & co-writing with some of North America's most talented, keep your eyes and ears peeled for new music that will truly blow you away... Summer 2014!
