Ryan Marks is a multi-instrumentalist and singer from Warwick, NY. Ryan has spent his career performing, recording and teaching professionally. His work can be heard as a sideman for various artists such as Billy Hector, Petrel, Matthew Pop, Haley Bowery and Musical Monk. Ryan has shared the stage with artists such as Donna Jean Godchaeux (Grateful Dead), Leo Nocentelli (The Meters), Russell Batiste (Funky Meters, Vida Blue), Questlove (the Roots), Jimmy Herring (Widespread Panic), performing at venues all across the country.
A veteran of the jamband scene, Ryan Marks played bass and sang for 6 years with the CT based band Big Meat ((link hidden)). The band made a name for themselves by touring the east coast from Maine to Florida. Highlighted shows included performances at Hard Rock Live (Orlando, FL), Wormtown Festival (Oxford, MA) and Freebird Live (Jacksonville, FL).
Ryan played bass and sang in the NY based band Fever Train. Highlighted shows included Highline Ballroom (New York, NY), Brooklyn Bowl (Brooklyn, NY), Rock & Roll Resort (Kerhonkson, NY).
Ryan is currently playing bass and singing in the NY based band Boxing The Needle ((link hidden)). Their debut album was produced by John Siket (Phish, DMB).
