What to Expect
One hour includes a 30 minute puppet show (based on fairy tales, folk tales, or nursery rhymes). Shows include puppet interactions. All shows are then followed by a 20-30 minute make and take session. Children will get to create their own glove or hand puppet to take home. Puppeteer supplies all the material needed for this session. Pre-show children's music will begin just before puppet characters and story begins. Whole program length is approximately 50-60 minutes.
Our Enchanted Puppet Theater brings numerous fairy tales and folk tales alive through the use of puppetry. Puppet master Rogelio Serrano has been entertaining children in the classroom with puppets for years. "Teaching with puppets is an ideal way for students to develop oral language through creative play. The theater has been traveling to city festivals, children's museums, child day cares, birthday parties, and libraries. Children learn to express themselves verbally and build confidence." Now, these puppets can retell their stories to children in a variety of settings.
Rogelio's Enchanted Puppet Shows (Traveling Theater):
A series of puppet show stories retold using one, two, or three stages. The show uses a portable 3-stage theater and puppet characters. Intended audience is Kindergarten through 5th grade. Younger crowds are welcome, but will need a bit more supervision making the glove/hand puppets.
Additional Booking Notes
I provide the sound and stage. Only requirements is an accessible 110 Volt outlet and a clearance of 6 feet from the audience. The portable theater and stage (consisting of three panels) occupy a space of 10 feet X 8 feet. For interactively viewing and listening to the shows, it is recommended that a space be secured in front of the theater for children to sit. This audience space can be a minimum of 12 feet X 12 feet. Since children will be making their own hand/glove puppet, some tables and chairs are required for the activity. Puppeteer does not supply the tables and chairs.

Influences & Inspiration
As an elementary school teacher, I used puppets in the classroom to introduce new concepts in reading, math, and language arts. Many times, the puppet characters would read to the students and interact with them. I have also used my puppets during career day at schools. I have used puppets over the years ever since I inherited my island monkey Lester.
I have also been influenced by fellow puppeteers and ventriloquists and puppeteer organizations.
Tables and chairs for children to sit at while making their hand/glove puppet. Also needed is a 110 Volt outlet nearby and a space for the theater about 6 feet by 10 feet.
