Thank you so much for visiting Mountain Island Charter School and entertaining our 5th graders with information about the Native American culture. The students were able to get a detailed glimpse into the lives and styles of Native Americans by observing your outfit and numerous displayed artifacts. I particularly enjoyed the stories that you told and how you related those stories to the lives of avergage 5th graders. The story about thte poisonous snake that tempted the Native American child was particularly memorable, as the moral of the lesson was to not be tempted by outside forces that you KNOW are not positive forces. The students also enjoyed this story and I plan to refere back to it with those students if they should be tempted by peer pressure or other negative forces that surround them.
Thank you again for your time and interesting information. We will keep your contact information and think of you in the future as we educate our next group of 5th graders!
