Audience members and clients can expect a truly entertaining performance that consistently leaves everyone very pleased and satisfied. Our shows are fun for all,in part due to the wide variety of songs we can deliver; and because we love what we do. People that think they don't like bluegrass leave loving Rain Check. We are without doubt a notch above most bands in this price range, as well as more creative and unique.
Rain Check is a four piece acoustic group, formed in 2003, with members who have played with internationally recognized bluegrass stars such as Lou Reid (Seldom Scene, Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver, and Southbound), Jimmy Haley (Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver, and Southbound), and Wyatt Rice (Rice Brothers, and Wyatt Rice and Santa Cruz) and more. Our music and show is professional in every way. With each member having more than 30 years experience, we can tailor our set lists to meet the needs of any audience or age group. Two words that probably capture the essence of Rain Check more than others are entertaining and fun. We provide a high quality Bose sound system, and always receive positive reviews. In the case of wedding reception parties, we can add acoustic arrangements of traditional wedding songs with two, three, or four pieces, for the service itself. Rain Check has released two CD's to date, and is nearing completion of studio work on a third to be released late-fall 2014.
We play through a high quality Bose Tower Sound System that easily accomodates an audience of 50 - 300 people, indoors or outside. The only technical requirement is access to two standard 110 electrical outlets.
