Rachelle Renesse is a Canadian singer/songwriter from Victoria, BC. In 2012 she moved to Los Angeles and was featured in Keyboard Magazine for Best New Talent to watch out for. She is currently a sponsored Yamaha Artist. Over the past few years she has been working and collaborating with top writers/producers in LA, Nashville and Memphis such as Morris Hayes (Prince), Jon Tiven (Wilson Pickett), Daryl Burgess (Alanis Morissette, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill), the late Teenie Hodges (Al Green), Dirk Pate (Beyonce, Eminem, Boys II Men, Tank), Honey Larochelle (A Great Big Word) and Dennis Graham (Drake). She is becoming an in demand singer, performer and songwriter.
Rachelle’s professional career has been on the rise ever since opening for international superstar Nelly Furtado at just 15yrs old.
In June 2004, Rachelle became the first international artist to perform for Iceland’s Independence Day on the main stage for tens of thousands in Reykjavik, Iceland. She performed for Iceland’s President Ólafur Ragnar Grímsson and delegates at his home.
Rachelle was honored to be asked by former Consul General of Canada, David Fransen, to sing the national anthem for the 2013 Canadian Oscar Party and “Pi’s Lullaby” from the motion picture “Life of Pi” for Mychael Danna who won the Oscar for Best Original Film Score. Her single “Brave New World” co-written with her brother Bryan, shot to #1 on the Home Grown Hits song charts for the Rock genre and #1 over all at the ASCAP EXPO in Hollywood, CA.
