PJ Anderson can’t draw, play the drums and he’s not particularly good with directions. But, he can write songs that touch those places deep down in your heart where joy and pain reside in harmony. His heartfelt lyrics strike a chord and draw out those emotions that are waiting to be uncovered. His lyrics matched with undeniably catchy tunes make for songs that will remain in your head and touch your heart.
PJ Anderson resides in Nashville, TN where he lives and works as a full time musician. He recently finished recording his 4th full length album called RISE, which will release October 2014. The first single from this album, Beautiful Mess, debuted at #40 on iTunes Christian charts. PJ worked with an all star cast of musicians including Britt Edwards (The Swift), Richard Scott (Matt Maher), Daniel Ornellas (Tree63, Brenton Brown, Matt Maher), Natalie LaRue (LaRue), John Bertucci (Ike Ndolo), Shawn Williams (Martina McBride), James Rosenbloom, Jason Eskridge and Nickie Conley.
In 2013, PJ released an album called Let Your Light Shine that opened up the doors of his songwriting potential. This album was born from a commitment to write a song every week for one year. From this discipline came a renewed faith and hope that shines through the joy and pain of the lyrics. Let Your Light Shine calls upon believers in Christ to not be afraid to let the love of The Lord shine through them as we live our daily while Set Me Free is a call to freedom from the chains of betrayal, pain and revenge to a place of Christ's hope. This album was PJ's first album recorded at Center Street Recording Studios in Nashville, where PJ worked with Producer Britt Edwards (The Swift) and Daniel Ornellas (Tree63, Brenton Brown, Matt Maher).
His first full-length album, Grace Beyond Strength, which was released in June 2012, landed him a spot as an iTunes New & Noteworthy Featured Artist. This album features heart-felt songs such as “Lead Me To You” and “Don’t Give Up On Me” as well as foot tappers, “In Your Heart” and “Live To Give.” Grace Beyond Strength combines the talents of producers Steven Gillis (Filter) and Mark Oliverius (Lorrie Morgan). It also cameos Eric Remschneider on cello (Smashing Pumpkins, Plain White T’s).
