Perfect for this special day!!! I would highly recommend Sean. He was excellent !!!
Sean did a great job!!
Sean played for my daughter's wedding; he arrived on time, played a half hour concert before the service, piped in the groomsmen, and piped out the bride and groom at the end. His playing was flawless and added exactly the special touch we were hoping for, for a very reasonable price, considering he was driving from Pittsburgh to Grove City for the event.
Thanks, Sean, for making it such a spectacular day!
Response from Pittsburgh Bagpiper Sean O'Donnell:
Thank you very much, Iain. It was an honor to carry on the family tradition of having a wedding bagpiper.
This was the easiest and best experience I've ever had with a musician. Not only is he an artist, he has a versatile repertoire and is totally professional. He looked wonderful too! The bride and groom were thrilled with his performance. I have absolutely no reservations about recommending Sean O'Donnell to perform at whatever event you might be staging.
I can honestly say from personal experience that Sean O'Donnell is awesome.. he's taken requests with humor at a St. Pat's celebration for a venue I work in.. And hired personally for a family funeral. He's professional, and excellent at his craft.
My husband has said for as long as I've known him that when he dies, he wants bagpies played at the grave. We celebrated his 60th birthday yesterday with a big family gathering. One of our sons thought that his dad should have the joy of hearing the bagpipes played while he was still here so he hired Sean. Brilliant idea! Sean was incredible. He played through the woods so we only heard him, then he appeared out of the trees dressed in full Scottish regalia. He played for an hour and was absolutely the best part of the day. What a delight. If you are ever looking for a bagpipe player, Sean is your guy. Thank you Sean for helping to make my husbands birthday very memorable.
I would like to thank you very much for an outstanding performance at my daughter’s Wedding at Kentuck Knob.
The music was beautiful, the playing masterful, the ambiance spiritual.
The newlyweds and both families appreciate your art, musicality, competence, and passion.
Sean was the bagpiper at our ceremony. He did a great job. Some people that knew we were having a bagpiper perform were skeptical, but everyone gave me so many compliments in the end. They all loved him.
Sean was timely in responses to me and was more than willing to work with any special requests we had. My fiance wanted to walk out to the Star Wars Theme, and Sean played it perfectly! It was a great treat for everyone.
He added something very special to our ceremony!
We were lucky enough to have Sean play during St. Patrick’s Day at the Peters Township Public Library. He was a huge hit with all of our patrons: adults, children and teenagers alike. Since then, we have had numerous patrons ask to have him back! I could not be more thrilled with how the event turned out, thanks to Sean’s professionalism, friendliness and outstanding musical talent. We will hopefully be able to have him return in the near future.

What to Expect
have played the bagpipes for many weddings, and my versatility and experience ensure you will have exactly what you want for your wedding day. Choose accompaniment that will help make your wedding perfect, and create a moment in your new life that everyone will talk about the rest of their lives. Some common musical arrangements are processing before the bridal party; processing before the bride; playing at the altar before the ceremony; processing out before the bride and groom; and playing as the guests leave the chapel area. Also not uncommon is having a bagpiper at your wedding reception, typically playing as or before the bridal party enters.
I play a variety of appropriately bright tunes, and I will be happy to discuss composing an original piece of music to commemorate your special event. Requests are honored to the best of my ability: If I don’t know the tune, I am more than happy to learn it.
My journey with the bagpipes began when I was 7 and my uncle was a drummer in a bagpipe band. I recently had seen his band in a parade, and I spent the next weeks marching around the house pretending to play the bagpipes. Soon after that, I began actually learning to play from the late John Duxbury, going on to study under some of bagpiping's best. I have been playing the bagpipes for many years, and I have won many piping awards across the eastern United States and in Canada. Additionally, I marched with the Laurel Highlanders Pipes and Drums for many years, serving as Pipe Sergeant there as well. Choose a bagpiper with the formal training necessary to evoke the elegance of the highland instrument and the performance experience needed to have a seamless event.
Additional Booking Notes
I'm just a man with a bagpipe. I need about 4 square feet of room and a height clearance of about 7 feet.
