Solo piper for funerals, weddings or special events. Tony has been playing the Great Highland Bagpipe since 2001 spending the last three years a member of a competitive pipe band in the greater Tampa Bay Area. Also as a career public safety member, Tony has played at numerous funerals and social functions with dignity, respect and honor.
Tony did an excellent job for my son's wedding at the Vinoy. Even the hotel guests commented on the bagpipes!!
Response from Piping by Tony:

Tony played Amazing Grace at the end of a burial service for my mom. Although our hearts are broken and it was such a distressing time, Tony's music gave us great comfort and hope. I highly recommend Tony for music at your event as well. Also, he is very kind and professional.

Thank you so much for the kind words Rose. It was an honor to play to help you lay your loved ones to rest.
Tony is a professional in every way. He arrived early, was well groomed and presented himself well. He played a very difficult instrument very well and was quite respectful of the family in this rather somber event.
Thank you, Tony.
Response from Piping by Tony:
Thank you so much for allowing me to participate in your beautiful service. God bless
Tony was excellent and his music selection was just what we needed at our small memorial service. He added a special touch of class to our send-off for a good friend. Would definitely book him again; hopefully next time for a more lively event!
Response from Piping by Tony:
Mike, thank you so much for the kind words. You had a beautiful send off for Brandon. It was an honor to be asked to play.
I could not be more happy with any music than I am with Tony's piping. A true professional, and a very cooperative person. Arrived well ahead of time. He arranged for a very dramatic and spirit capturing performance. Although there were only 7 people in attendance, every person had extremely high praise for his performance. Just what we needed.
Response from Piping by Tony:

Punctual. As a professional, Tony understands the importance of a timely arrival to greet the client and put them at ease. It is also vitally important to work out any last minute logistical issues and allow for an adequate amount of time to tune the instrument and prepare.
Professional. Tony thoroughly understands the significance of clients events. Wether the death of a loved one, or a special day for loved ones, professionalism is paramount. Clients can be assured of a professional demeanor and appearance at all times.
Accommodating. Tony understands that all plans are subject to change and is willing to adapt to the extent that it is possible.
Tony is currently a firefighter/paramedic in the Tampa Bay Area.
Shortly after the attacks of 9/11, Tony and several members of his department embarked on the daunting task of learning to play the Great Highland Bagpipe (GHB) in 2001. As a public safety band member thru the years, Tony has performed as a member of mass bands at large events and as a solo piper.
In 2011, Tony realized that there was much more to the piping world and became a member of the City of Dunedin Pipe Band, a well respected and recognized competitive piping program throughout the piping community. As a member of the competitive Gr4 band, Tony has traveled to many contests including the 2015 North American Championships in Maxville, Ontario, where the band took FIRST PLACE!!!!
Constantly striving to elevate his level of playing, Tony takes great pride in providing a memorable and professional touch to peoples special events.
Any reputable piper will need at least 20min prior to the event to correctly tune the instrument (more time is always better). The Great Highland Bagpipe consists of a total of 4 reeds (3 in the drones and 1 in the chanter) that must all be tuned to the specific environment in which they are to be played. This being said, if at all possible, the tuning area should be in the environment in which they are to played as temperature, humidity and even sunlight vs shade can have an effect on tuning.
Also understand that this is a wind instrument that takes a great deal of stamina to play properly. Any reputable piper who plays on a regular basis should have no problem playing for upwards of 20+ minutes, however this 20 minutes is not continuous. Typically a piper will play "sets" consisting of 3 - 4 tunes or perhaps a longer tune such as a piobaireachd . So, if you would like pipe music while guests are being seated or for a longer duration, please understand that there will be short (1-2 minutes) breaks in between sets.
