Pietro Iannotti Was born in Salerno 1979/11/15.
He started studying at age five under the guidance of M Irene Kirgis in school “ Liceo Musicale P. Mascagni” of Salerno. He continued his studies with M Silvano Carella, followed by post graduate studies with Franco Medori and Franco Scala. Since he was nine years old, he performed in public in recitals with orchestra in Italy and foreign countries for varies musical associations and cultural institutions. He has won very good critical comments even from international concert pianists.
He received his diploma at the Conservatory G. Martucci of Salerno, and has received the special degree with maximum votes and distinction at the Conservatory of Santa Cecilia with M Franco Medori. In 2003 he was admitted to Pinerolo Accademy of Music in Franco Scala’s class.
He has participated and won numerous national and international competitions (to name a few, prize Stravinsky of Bari, prize “citt di Formia”, European musical competition MusicAtri, prize AMMI Salerno, prize Brindisi, prize “citt di Viterbo” etc.). He was also one of the winners of the international piano competition “ M. Monopoli” of Barletta and recently he has gotten the second prize in the international piano competition “Citt di Sangemini” and the second prize in the international piano competition “Florestano Rossomandi” and last May he has gotten the third prize in the international piano competition "Alberto Napolitano" in Salerno.
He attended a three-year course and obtained his master’s degree at the Pontifical School “Ludovico da Victoria” of Rome with maximum votes and distinction.
In March 2013, after a petition that inspected his artistic titles, he’s granted the O1 visa only given to the individual who possesses extraordinary ability in the sciences, arts, education, business, or athletics. This visa is allowing him to work as a musician in USA.
