A seasoned performer, Forest Bailey ultilizes one steel-string acoustic guitar to represent the full spectrum of music, using the body for percussion, the strings for bass and melody.
Price Range: $200-$500
Gig Length: 120 - 240 minutes
What to Expect
Unique instrumental music, mixing many styles from Modern Percussive Fingerstyle, Classical, Jazz, World, Slack Key and Mo-Town.
Forest Bailey uses an unorthodox technique that involves using the body of a steel string acoustic to create melody, bass, and percussion all at once. This “percussive fingerstyle” technique draws out the full range of an acoustic guitar’s sonic possibilities. In addition to being a full time guitar instructor, Forest has entertained up and down the West Coast from Los Angeles to Portland in venues such as State Theater in Auburn, Portland Saturday Market, Winter NAMM, 89.5 KVMR Nevada City Radio, weddings as well as countless wineries, breweries and restaurants. He has toured with Canadian guitarist Adam Crossman, Colombian guitarist Oscar Mendez, and performed along side other fingerstyle players such as Adrian Bellue, Kat Gruvs, Mark Kroos and Janet Noguera. You can find Forest on Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook.
